LEGO Bricktales Desert Level Walkthrough and Builds

The Desert is the second world that players can visit in LEGO Bricktales. Upon arriving to the Desert, a huge earthquake shook the town and the nearby construction site, and it is up to the players to help out the people and find out what caused the unusual earthquake.

In this guide, we will talk about the Desert level in LEGO Bricktales, how to solve the builds and the puzzles, and locate the collectibles within the level.

    Desert Walkthrough and Builds

As you take the portal to the Desert, you will find yourself within a small walled town full of merchants. A huge earthquake will shake everyone up, and you will first have to find a way to help the merchants before you can explore the rest of the place. The build shown in the examples below are simple, if not the simplest solutions, but you can change the build as you like, so long as it passes the objective.

    Desert Build #1: Wares

First, you will need to talk to the Painfully Rich Merchant in the middle of the town. He will ask you to help the merchants recover from the damage done by the earthquake. Head to the person beside him and talk to that person for the first build.

For this build, it is designed more like a puzzle. You will be given four conditions and you must meet all of them in order to solve the puzzle. The solution for this puzzle, from left to right is: cupcake, pyramid, bottle, gold.

    Desert Build #2: Market Stall

For the next build, talk to the merchant on the southeast corner of the town. She will ask you to rebuild her stall for her. The only conditions of this build is to put the row of jars in front of her, and that the tip piece should be placed high enough to reach the green line.

After completing the build, go to the left gate and talk to the Rich Merchant’s Security. He will not let you pass, so go back to the rich merchant to get an Exit Permission. Go back to the security to get to the next area.

    Desert Build #3: Pedestrian Bridge

Once you are outside the desert town, go talk to the Annoyed Building Contractor and she will ask for your help to build a Pedestrian Bridge found on the east side. Start off by building the supports in the middle and on the sides of the gap, and then work on the floors, then place the side walls. The bridge has to be tall enough to clear the space underneath.

You will then be able to reach the Excited Conservator who is near the entrance of the Skill Temple. She will ask you to head inside the temple and gather the missing hieroglyphs that will open the entrance to the pyramid.

Inside the temple, head to the very end where you will find the Dimension skill that will let you scan for invisible items. Since you are inside the skill temple, you are only allowed to use one skill at a time. Should you wish to swap between skills, interact with the small pillars that match the color of the skill: red for Ground Smash, green for Dimension.

Using the Dimension near the spots marked by the green eyes of Horus will reveal an invisible thing. Interact with them to materialize them so that you can pick them up or use them. You can use the skill to get the first hieroglyph and reveal a wheel that will open or close the passageways to the other parts of the temple.

To solve this maze, you will need to light up the four torches on each corner of the temple using the Ground Smash skill. You will be switching between the two skills often, so before you lock yourself from accessing the middle room, make sure that you have the right skill activated and you have grabbed the hieroglyph.

This is the order of the wheels that you have to turn to make it through the maze:

    1. Middle wheel
    2. Right wheel
    3. Left wheel
    4. Left wheel
    5. Right wheel

Once all torches are lit, you will be rewarded with a treasure chest containing popsicles and the exit to the desert. Talk to the conservator again and place the hieroglyphs on the obelisk to open the entrance to the pyramid.

Desert Build #4: Dangerous Pit Bridge

Inside the pyramid, you will need to pull the lever to drain out the sand covering the lower level. Then, continue moving forward to the next room where there will be a pit full of spikes. You will need to create another bridge to get to the other side.

First, use the blocks to make support pillars in the middle. Then, use the steps to go over the spiked pillar, and then bridge both sides with the planks.

You can also use the remaining bricks to create two more bridges that go to both sides of the pit; one to reach a lever, and one to reach a chest.

You will then meet up with the Tomb Guardian Master who will put you into three trials which you must overcome before meeting the queen.

    Desert Build #5: Perfect Pyramid

The first trial to the right requires you to stack pieces to create a perfect pyramid. You can set aside the tip and the two parts that form the second highest level. Then place the bottom pieces and work your way up to form the pyramid.

Desert Build #6: Pompous Cat Tree

The next trial requires you to build a cat tree. This is an easier trial since you only need to place at least two of the round platforms and the basket, then place the cat on top of it to check if it holds long enough.

    Desert Build #7: Shadowbox

The last trial requires you to build a shadowbox. You can complete this build by stacking just the orange shelves within the build space, or you can decorate it with the other blocks as you like.

After completing all three trials, you will get to enter the queen’s chamber where you will meet Queen Cleocatra. This is where you can also visit Boo’s Shop which contains more block colors and part styles for your minifig.

The queen will ask for your help in finding her cat Miw. She is most likely lured by the catnip that one of the merchants is keeping in stock. Head over to the stall in the town that you helped rebuild earlier. The merchant will then give you the key to the catnip storage area where you will find Miw. Head back to the queen to get the next task.

    Desert Build #8: Mosaic

She will then want you to rebuild her mosaic outside the pyramid. Interact with the mosaic’s build marker first, and then go look for the two missing pieces that are nearby; one is near the ladder under a tree, and one is near the town’s gate. Then, head back to the mosaic and place the parts on their right positions to complete the build; no need to rotate the pieces.

    Desert Build #9: Ramp

For the last build, since the queen has decided to fix the construction equipment damaged by her earthquake, you need to talk to the contractor again. She will need your help in fixing the ramp so that their heavy equipment can be brought to the build site.

To build the ramp, you just need four layers that are tapered off using either the 2×3 slopes or the 2×2 slopes. You only need to build an almost symmetrical pair of ramps for the construction vehicle’s wheels; there’s no need to fill in the gap in the middle.

Once it is done, talk back to the Contractor and you will receive another Happiness Jewel and get teleported back to the Theme Park. Place the jewel into the transformation machine to restore the rollercoaster, and then you will have to build three carts for the ride. This build does not contribute to the completion of the Desert level, but it is required to unlock the next area.

    Desert Animal Collectibles

In the Desert level, there are a total of 20 animals to be collected. 13 of them can be found within the first run through the level, while the other 7 will require a revisit once the necessary abilities to reach them have been acquired. • LEGO Bricktales City Level Walkthrough and Builds

LEGO Bricktales City Level Walkthrough and Builds

The City is the fourth world that players can visit in LEGO Bricktales. Players will find that the city is being overrun by malicious robot invaders, and they will have to make their way through the chaos to help out the citizens and stop the invasion.

In this guide, we will talk about the City level in LEGO Bricktales, how to solve the builds and the puzzles, and locate the collectibles within the level.

    City Walkthrough and Builds

You arrive at the City in disarray from the current invasion taking over it. Head over to the Mayor and talk to him. He will tell you to find Rita who is a scientist hiding underneath within the city’s sewers.

    City Build #1: Tetris Board

The first build you will encounter is a graffiti board. On top of another ledge is a wheel that you need to turn in order to make a sign turn and use it as a bridge to cross over to the next building.

For this build, there is only a thin strip where you can place a base on, so you need to rotate the pieces. Then, use a piece that extends at least four studs out from the base for the first step in order to allow Rusty to step on it, otherwise Rusty won’t be able to climb it. Then, you just need to stack the other bricks, keeping at least a step every level to only 1-brick tall. The staircase does not have to be going directly straight upwards.

Once you are at the top, turn the wheel to be able to proceed. For an added challenge, try to keep a bridge at the very top to reach the other pillar that has a Bird on it.

    City Build #2: Fire Escape

Immediately after crossing, you will need to work on the second build which is a fire escape ladder. As a simulation, it must withstand four Rusties going down from the top of the building.

The easier way to approach this is to start building up top. There are outcroppings on the side of the wall where you can put more pieces on for some more stability. However, the bottom plate on these outcroppings are not that strong, but you can use the sides and build on top of them as they are directly attached to the wall. Refer to the image to see how the U-turns are built.

As for the scaffoldings, it’s possible to only use three of the tall ones and none of the short ones. Place two on the left side supporting the third floor from the top, and one under the right side for the floor near the bottom. Then place additional plates above and below the junctions to make the staircase sturdier.

Once you reach the other side, head down where you’ll meet Scientist Rita. She will then tell you to go to the Power Plant and fix it to restore power to the city. Before heading out of the sewers, you can pay a visit to Boo’s Shop. As you make your way back, make sure to pick up the Whip. To exit the sewers, look for a wheel and it will open the closed gate where you’ll find a ladder to the surface.

You’ll then meet Electrician Eleanor who is blocking the entrance to the Power Plant. She needs your help to build her another vehicle. First off, you need to find a steering wheel and an engine for the vehicle. The steering wheel is on her totaled car, while the steering wheel is on the map northeast of the Power Plant.

    City Build #3: Small Car

For this build, you simply need to build a 4-wheel vehicle while following the requirements. It can be as simple or as fancy as you want.

After building her the car, you will then gain access to the Power Plant which is a Skill Temple. In here, you’ll receive the new ability called Electricity which allows you to teleport through the teleport pads.

To solve this Skill Temple, follow these steps:

    1. Get the Electricity Skill, then use the nearby teleport pad to go to the next one.
    2. Pull the lever to raise the water level.
    3. Head over to the emergency terminal and use Electricity to power it up.
    4. Climb the ladder nearby and switch to the Water skill.
    5. Use Water to clean the other pad, which should activate both the linked pads.
    6. Switch back to Electricity then power up the next emergency terminal.
    7. Use Electricity on the next pad, then pull the lever again to lower the water level.
    8. Head back to the same pad, then make your way to the lower level.
    9. Climb the ladder, then switch to Smash to break all the crates first.
    10. Pull the lever to lower the water level on the other side.
    11. Switch back to electricity and then head back to the same pad to teleport again.
    12. Then, head to the revealed pad to teleport up.
    13. Use Electricity once more to power up the final emergency terminal.

Don’t forget to pick up the treasure chest within the temple before heading back out.

Once you head out of the Power Plant, you will see a Jogger being harassed by the robot drones. Use your Electricity while beside these drones to electrocute them. Afterwards, the electrician should arrive back and she will need your help in fixing the Transformer Unit.

    City Build #4: Transformer Unit

The next build requires you to build a transformer. It is a simple build where you just need to copy the model. There is a particular piece that is off by a few plates, but it won’t affect the result.

    City Build #5: Switchgear

Finally, you will need to build a switch gear. You just need to fulfill the requirements such as making sure that the control panel is placed not too high, and all switch units are placed exactly on the marked spots. After completing this build, head back to the electrician to complete the objectives for the Power Plant. Head back to Scientist Rita for the next task.

    City Build #6: Drone

Rita will need your help in building a drone. Start off with the 1×3 plates and build off from them, making sure that everything is secured in place. Check the balance if it’s tilting too much on one side and adjust as necessary.

Afterwards, follow Rita through another part of the sewers. Go through the passageway first, then use Electricity on the pad to teleport. Use Water to fill a receptacle to raise the water level. Teleport back and then use the other pad leading to a lever. Pull the lever to let Rita cross to the exit, then follow her.

You will then arrive at the Construction Site. You need to talk to Construction Worker Amelie for the next task.

City Build #7: Street and Bridge

For this build, simply start with the middle pillars first and use the arches to spread the support to a wider area. Finish off with the road plates. After completing the build, talk back to Amelie for the next task.

    City Build #8: Crane

The next build will be the arms of a crane, specifically the jib and the counterweight. start by attaching long bricks in the middle. Then, attach the winch on the specified end. Make sure to fasten the links using the arch bricks or the long bricks on the top and bottom.

After completing the build, ride the crane up top the building.

    City Build #9: Walkway

Rita will then ask you to build a set of walkways to connect the different platforms. For the build, you have four Rustys that will need to get to their respective destinations. You can start by building the walkway in the middle of all the platforms, then connect it to the rest using the stairs and plates. Make sure that the walkways are wide enough to prevent the Rustys from getting stuck.

Once the walkways are built, to to Rita again for the next task.

City Build #10: Scaffolding and Speakers

The final build will require you to build a scaffolding to support some speakers. Use the lateral arms to hang the speakers on to. The speakers can hang on with just one of its studs as long as it is fastened properly.

After the build, a short cutscene will play. Talk to Rita once more to complete the level and receive the Happiness Crystal.

Head back home and place the crystal in the transformation machine. You will then have to build three ferris wheel cabins in order to complete the attraction and unlock the next level.

How to Get the Whip in the Desert Level LEGO Bricktales

The Whip is one of the recurring tools that players can use in LEGO Bricktales. It can be found as early as in the Jungle level. However, tools do not carry over to the other levels and players will have to find one of them again within the level they are in.

In this guide, we will talk about how to get the Whip in the Desert level of LEGO Bricktales.

How to get the Whip in the Desert Level

To get the Whip, you must first reach the second chamber of the Pyramid. Check out our LEGO Bricktales Desert Walkthrough and Builds guide for more details on how to reach the second chamber.

On the Dangerous Pit Bridge build where you are only required to build a bridge to cross to the other side, you can use the remaining bricks to make more bridges coming out from the center of the main bridge. This way, you can reach the lever on the ledge to the left of the bridge.

Once you are at the lever, pull it so that the sand pit below will be drained out, giving you access to the tunnel below where the Whip can be found.

  • LEGO Bricktales Caribbean Level Walkthrough and Builds

LEGO Bricktales Caribbean Level Walkthrough and Builds

The Caribbean is the final world that players can visit in LEGO Bricktales. Players will find themselves in an island which is home to the pirates. However, these pirates aren’t the fearsome one and they actually need some help in finding a new ship that they can set sail with.

In this guide, we will talk about the Caribbean level in LEGO Bricktales, how to solve the builds and the puzzles, and locate the collectibles within the level.

    Caribbean Walkthrough and Builds

Once you arrive in the islands, talk to Pirate Cook Francois and he will ask you to gather coconuts for him so that he can cook a dish for the captain. To gather coconuts, head over to the coconut tree. There will be one coconut on the ground that you can pick up, while the rest will fall down once you use Smash near the tree. Once you have gathered enough coconuts, head back to the chef.

Before proceeding to the next part, you can opt to go for the first build.

    Caribbean Build #1: Sandcastle

For the first build, you just need to build a sandcastle. There’s no requirement other than using at least 4 bricks in the build.

    Caribbean Build #2: Pig Cart

Talk to Francois once again and he’ll need for you to build a pig cart that can hold all the coconuts. There will be a boundary shown in the build where the coconuts will be so just make sure to surround it properly with bricks.

After this build, Francois will head out into the next part of the island. Before following him, you can start on working on the next build.

    Caribbean Build #3: Raft

For the next build, you will need to build a raft. It has fill markers that have to be filled up completely. This raft will be needed later on for the story quest.

Another build can be done at this point once you reach the small island via the raft.

    Caribbean Build #4: Pier

As you ride the raft to the small island, head towards the fisherwoman to start another build. You will need to build her a pier where she can fish on. The pier can be tricky to deal with, especially with the second requirement, but as long as there’s a clear unobstructed walkway from the land to the center part of the ends of the pier, then it will be fulfilled.

Once done, you can take a minute to explore Boo’s Shop for the stuff on sale. Then, you can proceed to the next part of the island. Once you arrive there, talk to Pirate Captain Patti Eyepatch for the next build.

    Caribbean Build #5: Bridge

Next, you need to build a bridge since the cannoneer just blew up the previous one. This bridge has to split into two paths. Start by connecting the two level paths, then build the stairs to the higher path somewhere in the middle of the first path.

After building the bridge, head to the Parrot Language as he will need some help in getting the parrots who know where the hidden ship is. Then, make your way to the cannoneer to trigger a cutscene of him blowing up a hole in the wall. Explore the hole and go through the cave. You’ll arrive at the first part of the island once again, but you also have access to the Skill Temple this time.

In this Skill Temple, you will learn the Hover skill which lets you ride the purple rails. It also allows you to travel a bit faster than just walking on foot.

To solve the Skill Temple, follow these steps:

    1. Ride the platform.
    2. Get the Hover skill and then slide down the rail.
    3. Switch to the Dimension skill, then reveal the wheel, but don’t use it yet.
    4. Switch back to Hover, then ride the rail to the left.
    5. Switch to Smash, then break the crates that you can reach.
    6. Switch back to Hover, ride down the rail, and then turn the wheel.
    7. Ride up to the left rails again, switch back to Dimension, reveal the lever, and then pull the lever to reveal the stairs.
    8. Use the new wheel that controls the platforms, then switch back to Smash, break the crates, then turn the wheel again.
    9. Turn the wheel for the rail to move the rail to the middle ledge.
    10. Switch back to Hover, ride the middle rail, and then follow the rest of the rail to the top where you will find the parrot.

Don’t forget about the treasure chest. To reach the chest, move the center rail to the right, then raise the small platform on the right. Switch to Dimension and reveal the lever that lowers the ledge where the chest is.

Once you have the parrot, return back to the teacher to get the next build.

    Caribbean Build #6: Parrot Perch

For this build, you will need to build a perch for the four parrots. This perch will be hanging from the top, and the parrots cannot be rotated. Start off with the middle part and make it long enough to give the parrots some head space. Then, use the plate to allow to parrots to hang on it. Check the simulation to see if the perch is balanced and then adjust accordingly.

The next set of steps will be a chain of quests to get the cracker that the parrots want. After talking to the parrots, go to Francois at the first area once again and he will ask for some fish. Head to the fisherwoman and she will ask for some rum. Finally, head to Barkeeper Sanji at the second area and he will ask for your help to rebuild the Yoga Studio that the cannoneer just blew up.

    Caribbean Build #7: Yoga Studio

For the Yoga Studio, you just need to follow the requirements of placing down the necessary bricks, such as the barkeeper and the yoga mats.

After completing the studio, talk to the barkeeper once again and he will ask one more favor for his friend. You then need to talk to the Peg Leg Specialist who is up on top of the outlook mast. He will ask you to find a piece of drift wood for the peg leg.

Head back to the small island where the fisherwoman is at and you will see a piece of driftwood. As you go back to the crow’s nest, the cannoneer will blow it up. The carpenter will then ask for your help to rebuild the stairs that lead up to the crow’s nest.

    Caribbean Build #8: Outlook Stairs

For this build, start on the first few steps at the base. Then, to get a better view of the positioning of the next blocks, start building the next platform on one of the arms of the middle pole. Then, fill in the gaps in the steps while keeping it to just at brick height. Keep doing this until you reach the top.

Once you reach the Peg Leg Specialist, he will give you the peg leg. Talk to the barkeeper once again and he will give you a voucher for the bar. Head back to the fisherwoman and she will give you a fish. And then, head to Francois and he will ask you to collect rain water by building a water collector.

    Caribbean Build #9: Water Collector

For this build, you need to build two gutters using the slopes to lead all of the water droplets into the barrel. All droplets should get inside the barrel to complete the build. You can refer to the screenshot above and adjust the bricks accordingly. After collecting enough water, talk to Francois again and he will give you the cracker.

Give the cracker to the parrots and they will say that the ship is hidden behind the large skull. You then need to talk to the cannoneer and ask him to blow the teeth off of the skull. Afterwards, head to the rail end near the bridge and use Hover to get to the other side of the skull.

You will then arrive inside the cave and you need to make your way over to the other side to where the ship is.

Caribbean Build #10: Old Cargo Lift

For this build, you need to create a lift, but you also need to include all the big and small barrels. Keep the build as symmetrical as possible by keeping two of the big barrels to the side while the other one is behind the lift, and then adjust the small barrels’ positions if the lift is tipping too much to one side.

Once completed, ride the lift down at the bottom, and then use the wheel to raise the lift back up for later.

    Caribbean Build #11: Gangway

Next up, you need to build a gangway so that you can cross to the ship. You will need to find some wooden blocks and metals brackets to use for it first. They can be found around the cave. For this build, you can simply stack the 2×1 bricks, add two of the 2×1 plates, and then add a slope with is lowest side facing towards the ship.

After the build, make your way to the ship and talk to the captain. Once you arrive outside, you will then receive the Happiness Crystal.

Head back home to the Theme Park and build the final attraction. Once it’s done, you will get a short cutscene and then the credits will roll.
