Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC gives players the chance to see how athletes train in Night City. In Talent Academy, V is asked to infiltrate a sports training center as an undercover in order to get some classified information. This gig can be entirely resolved without any guns involved and will have different endings depending on your choices.
In this guide, I’ll be teaching you how to get the best outcome for the Talent Academy gig in the best way possible and the rewards gained upon completion.

Talent Academy Walkthrough
You need to complete the Phantom Liberty DLC’s story mission, The Damned, before you can start Talent Academy. The Gig can be found on the green icon east of Terra Cognita. Once you’re at the location, Mr. Hands will contact you about looking into a sports academy to extract data for his client.
Meet up with Mr. Hands contact. He’s at the bottom of the sports academy building next to the elevator. He’ll give you the details about the job including your undercover persona. After you’ve been given authorization, go to the elevator and take it to the exhibition hall.
Talk to the receptionist on the left side and Johnny will appear and tell you go to the bar. Head downstairs and sit on the chair behind the bar. The bartender will approach and ask which team you’re drafting for. It’s important to respond with “None of your biz” after ordering your drink. If you tell the bartender that you’re scouting for San Diego Shredders, a guest named Caden will overhear and ask you questions that could lead to your identity being exposed. A distraction will happen on the exhibition stage soon enough that allows you to sneak around.
Open the door to the left side of the bar that says “Personnel Only.” Go into the next room and sneak behind the boxes to the right. There are two guards in this area and a camera. Disable the camera with quickhacks and wait for one of the guards to move into the bathroom before knocking out the other one. Get inside the bathroom and knock out the remaining guard so they don’t discover the body.
There is a metal window you can open and jump over, opposite to the entrance you came from. There is a guard there that you can take out silently. Access the computer from that room and use the “Local Network” to open the doors and disable the cameras. Then move into the next hallway and knock out the guard there.
Go down the stairs and head straight. At the end of the hall, there is a door that you can force open with at least 15 Body Stat. There are some good pieces of equipment you can take there. Take out the two guards in the next room across the hallway. Quickhack the computer to distract one guard before knocking out the other one. Then knock out that guard yourself. Access the computer in the room and turn off the surveillance cameras.
Head into the hallway on the right and enter the double sliding doors. Sneak to the door on the left. Knock out the solitary guard overlooking the next room. Go back outside the hallway and knock out the two guards. Enter the dormitory, and you’ll find an optional encounter with one of the athletes-in-training who you can talk to in order to find out more about the sports facility.
At the end of the dormitory hallway, enter the door to the left. Go right, and you’ll arrive at Fionna’s office. Talk to Tommie and comfort him about finding his own team. After interacting with the computer on the desk, Unfortunately, V will always get caught by Fiona before he can finish downloading the data.
Here’s where you have to make a choice. Fiona offers V a controlled leak for the information their client is looking for. This still accomplishes the objective. However, V can choose to fulfill the gig to the letter and steal all the data. Once you make your choice, exit the facility, and you’re done with Talent Academy.
Should you accept Fiona’s offer?
When V confronts Fiona in her office, she gives him a choice for a controlled leak. Unfortunately, not everyone is going to come out happy. Having all of her client’s data will shut down the sports facility, and your choices could lead to the different outcomes below:
Accept Fiona’s Offer
V hears out what Fiona has in mind when she catches them in her office. To get this outcome, pick the following dialogue options:
- “I need access to your computer.”
- “It’s about the taxes.”
- “Start talking.”
- “You’re using Tommie as a bargaining chip?”
- “We’ll do the leak.”
V accepts Fiona’s offer for a controlled leak. Johnny is disappointed in your choice, but everyone else gets out fine. Troubled kids have their chance to bet it all on the line for the chance of getting out of Dogtown or risk coming out with nothing but more debts to pay.
Put Tommie in a Team
V shows concern for Tommie and asks what his chances of getting signed are. To get this outcome, you need to select the following dialogue options:
- “I need access to your computer.”
- “It’s about the taxes.”
- “Start talking.”
- “You’re using Tommie as a bargaining chip?”
- “What are Tommie’s chances of getting signed?”
- “We’ll do the leak, but Tommie gets signed.”
V accepts Fiona’s offer and has Tommie join a European team. Tommie can then be found later at the Petrochem Stadium Market clothing store. His dad owns the shop, and he thanks you for helping him out.
Refuse Fiona’s Offer
V shows nothing but disgust for what Fiona and her sports facility are doing. Here are the dialogue options to get this outcome:
- “I need access to your computer.”
- “It’s about the taxes.”
- “Start talking.”
- “You’re using Tommie as a bargaining chip?”
- “Fuck your offer.”
Fiona grants V access to the data without conditions. Go back to the computer terminal and get the data. Fiona threatens V that he’ll regret this. You can choose to eliminate Fiona as well, which makes Johnny happy. Regardless, you’ll be ambushed by her guards as you exit the facility. Deal with them, and the gig is done.
Listen to Johnny
The sports facility has been abusing and taking advantage of kids. This disgusts Johnny, who suggests V should burn down the place. Pick these dialogue options so you can get this ending:
- “I need access to your computer.”
- “It’s about the taxes.”
- “Start talking.”
- “You’re using Tommie as a bargaining chip?”
- “What are Tommie’s chances of getting signed?”
- “We’ll do the leak, but Tommie gets signed.”
Then pull out your gun and shoot Fiona. Johnny will be happy. Go back and eliminate the whole staff as well. This is possibly the best ending for the Talent Academy gig, as they can’t prey on anymore kids and Tommie gets signed to a team.
Reading Fiona’s emails reveal that those who aren’t chosen for a contract after three years in their facility are left to cover the costs of maintaining their cyberware, which most families in Dogtown can’t do. While there are a handful who are successful, most aren’t able to reach such heights. Make no mistake, these people aren’t altruistic entrepreneurs watching out for poor kids.
