Perceived Memories are collectible pieces of information that provide some additional background story for Digimon Survive’s narrative. These collectibles can be found scattered throughout the many different places of the parallel world, and some are only accessible through certain routes.
In this guide, we will be talking about the Perceived Memories and where to find them.
How to get Perceived Memories
Perceived Memories can only be found by using the camera on Takuma’s smartphone. As with any other hidden items in rooms, they will appear as glitchy distortions through the camera’s lens. The difference is that Takuma hears a sort of voice calling to him when he interacts with a Perceived Memory.
Takuma will also exclaim that he feels that there’s something around upon entering the area – a good indication that there is a Perceived Memory that can be discovered.
Perceived Memories Locations per Chapter
There are three volumes of stories, each with their own five chapters of Perceived Memories. Three chapters of each volume can be obtained from chapters 2 through 6, right before the story splits. The remaining chapters 4 and 5 can only be found on specific karmic routes:
- Moral: Spirited Away
- Harmony: All in the Seasoning
- Wrathful: Tale of the Mural
These Perceived Memories are definitely missable as some of the locations can get locked as the story progresses. However, found memories will carry over to a New Game+ save file, allowing you to check back on previous areas that you have missed without finding all of them all over again.
We have arranged the guide to show the locations of the first three chapters on a per part basis, while the last two chapters of each volume are split into their respective routes.
Important note: some of the fourth and fifth chapters can be found on the same spots where their earlier chapters can be found. In case you have not discovered some of the earlier chapters yet and you are beyond chapter 8 in your run, it’s worth to double check the spot by leaving the area and checking back in the same spot.
Perceived Memories Locations in Part 2
- Inner Shrine Entrance
- All in the Seasoning Chapter: Chapter 1 – In front of the Inner Shrine Entrance, inspect the bushes to the right.
- Shrine
- The Tale of the Mural: Chapter 1 – By the Shrine, inspect the right side of the stairs, near the lantern.
- Woods by Shrine
- Spirited Away: Chapter 1 – Within the woods, inspect the base of the tree.
Perceived Memories Locations in Part 3
- Cafeteria
- The Tale of the Mural: Chapter 2 – Inside the Cafeteria, inspect the space to the right just behind Saki and Lopmon.
- Spider Lily Forest
- Spirited Away: Chapter 2 – At the Spider Lily Forest, inspect the base of the tree on the right side.
Perceived Memories Locations in Part 4
- Central Plaza, Amusement Park
- All in the Seasoning Chapter: Chapter 2 – While in the Central Plaza of the Amusement Park, inspect the fence on the right side.
Perceived Memories Locations in Part 5
- Sewers
- The Tale of the Mural: Chapter 3 – While in the Sewers with Aoi, go straight from the room that curves to the left leading to the 4-way room, then check the floor near the path going to the left.
Perceived Memories Locations in Part 6
- Woods near City, Second Island
- Spirited Away: Chapter 3 – While in the Woods near City on the Second Island, inspect the base of the tree to the on the middle right side.
- Inner Shrine Entrance
- All in the Seasoning Chapter: Chapter 3 – Look at the same spot at the bushes near the inner shrine entrance where you found Chapter 1.
Perceived Memories in the Moral Route
- Part 9, Spider Lily Forest
- Spirited Away: Chapter 4 – Head back down to the Spider Lily Forest and inspect the base of the tree near the middle.
- Part 10, Woods by Shrine
- Spirited Away: Chapter 5 – Head to the Woods by the Shrine and inspect the near the middle right side of where the flower patch is; same spot as Chapter 1.
Perceived Memories in the Harmony Route
- Part 11, Woods by Library
- All in the Seasoning Chapter: Chapter 4 – Head to the Woods by the Library after encountering Piedmon, then inspect the right side of the path near the bushes.
- Part 12, Inner Shrine Entrance
- All in the Seasoning Chapter: Chapter 5 – Head back to the Inner Shrine Entrance and inspect the same bush where Chapter 1 was found.
Perceived Memories in the Wrathful Route
- Part 10, Woods by Library
- The Tale of the Mural: Chapter 4 – In the Woods by the Library, check the bush on the right side of the path.
- Part 12, Shrine
- The Tale of the Mural: Chapter 5 – By the Shrine, inspect the right side of the stairs, near the lantern where Chapter 1 was found.
