Here are the fastest ways to farm Star Coins in Disney Dreamlight Valley:
- Sell Cooked Fish: One of the best ways to earn a lot of Star Coins fast is to sell the fish you catch, but you can further increase the price of the sale if you cook them first. Different fish have different price tags and they become even more valuable if you add other ingredients like Apple or Carrots.
- Sell Minerals: Sell your minerals to Goofy for a large amount of Star Coins. You can mine mineral deposits around the Valley and they’ll usually drop valuable minerals you can sell.
- Raise Friendship Level: Raising your friendship level with the Valley’s inhabitants unlock rewards like Star Coins and other goodies. Simply invite them to hang out while you do anything else and their friendship level will grow. Raising your friendship level also increases the yield of either Fish or Mining so they also have passive perks when it comes to earning Star Coins.
- Clear Out The Valley: While not as fast as the other ways to farm Star Coins, you will farm out a lot by continuously getting rid of Night Thorns. These will reward you with Star Coins that will gradually build up as you clear the Valley.
These are the best ways to farm Star Coins in Disney Dreamlight Valley from our experience. I was able to earn up to 10,000 Star Coins just from selling Cooked Fish to Goofy for fifteen minutes. It’s a pretty reliable way to earn Star Coins. However there are also others that you can do so spice things up a notch.
It’s important to note that we absolutely need Goofy’s stall to earn a lot of Star Coins fast. Thankfully you can do this very early in the game as soon as you talk to Scrooge McDuck and do his first quest. Most of the Star Coins we earn will be through Goofy so it’s important to keep that in mind.

Sell Cooked Fish
Selling Cooked Fish is a great way to earn Star Coins fast. Specifically keep an eye out for certain fish on the ponds in the Meadows just below the Plaza. Different fish have different price tags but you’ll earn more if you first cook them before selling them to Goofy.
Here are the fish and their respective prices:
- Bream: Sells for 600 Star Coins.
- Catfish: Sells for 550 Star Coins.
- Rainbow Trout: Sells for 50 Star Coins.
- Bass: Sells for 25 Star Coins.

Once you’ve gotten used to fishing, you’ll be able to catch many unique fish that fetch for a high price. Look out for different colored points in the pond as rarer fish can be indicated by yellow and red instead of just plain white.

This is where cooking will really help you earn more. For example, the Bream fish alone can sell for 600 Star Coins in Disney Dreamlight Valley. However cooking it with a carrot will raise the price to 837 Star Coins which isn’t too bad if you’re planning on selling it en masse. Better recipe will yield more for you to sell.

Sell Minerals
Selling Minerals like Topaz or Garnet can yield a lot of Star Coin returns. Depending if you get a Shiny version of these minerals, you’ll get even more Star Coins when you sell them to Goofy. All you need to do is mine for them on deposits scattered around the Valley.
You first need the Pickaxe tool to be able to mine minerals. There are plenty of deposits around the Valley and they always recharge after a some time has passed making them a good source of income. Look for these deposits near the edges of the Plaza and Meadows. They can sell as high as 640 Star Coins in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
The best part about selling Minerals is that they don’t take much effort to do so. You don’t need to cook them and you just need to hold the interact button to get minerals. Afterwards sell them to Goofy for some quick and easy Star Coins.
Raise Friendship Level
Raising friendship levels is something you have to do in order to unlock new areas in the Valley but they can also be a good source for Star Coins. Raising your friendship to certain levels will unlock Star Coins as a reward. They’ll also unlock cosmetics and furniture which are also a nice bonus.
The fastest way to raise your friendship level is by giving inhabitants gifts. Inhabitants have a gift preference which raise their affection for you even faster. These rotate per day so pay attention to what they need. You can also ask them to hang out where they’ll follow you around passively which raises their affection for you.
You can also raise friendship level by participating in Friendship Quests. Some of these reward Star Coins which are fulfilling. One friendship quest from Scrooge McDuck gives you 2,000 Star Coins for finding Merlin something blue for his house and that’s not even the reward.
Clear Out The Valley
Clearing out the valley isn’t the fastest way to earn Star Coins in Disney Dreamlight Valley. However you will earn a lot in the process as you clear out the many Night Thorns that are infecting the Valley. These will also give you more room to easily move around better.
Night Thorns are the source of the Forgetting. They’re also needed for getting memories and not just Star Coins in Disney Dreamlight Valley. However once you clear them out en masse, you’ll notice you’ve garnered quite a bit of Star Coins.
