Many cosmetic items can be unlocked by playing Halo Infinite, and if you’d like to wear a cat ears helmet, you can now do so. The Cat Lovers Bundle is the latest cosmetic bundle to be added to Halo Infinite’s digital storefront, allowing Spartans to sport kitty ears.
In Halo Infinite’s multiplayer, players may have noticed that some people are having cat ears on their Spartan helmets. These epic cat ears is a helmet attachment called Purrfect Audio.
Here’s how Halo Infinite players can get their hands on this particular cosmetic item as part of a bundle.
When is The Cat Lovers Bundle available in Halo Infinite?
The Purrfect Audio Cat Ears Epic Helmet Attachment is available in Halo Infinite starting the week of December 21st, 2021, as part of The Cat Lovers Bundle, thanks to the new update from 343 Industries.
If you’re only interested on the Spartan helmet cat ears, it is part of the Cat Lovers bundle along with other enticing items such as the cat weapon charm.
A new update happens every Tuesday, where the in-game store receives a new assortment of cosmetic items, including new armor colors, emblems, weapon models, and more.
Halo Infinite shop items have been added to the in-game store this week including the Fire and Frost armor set, Maltese Mayhem weapon set, Cat Lovers bundle, and Chow Down bundle.
How to Get Cat Ears in Halo Infinite
You can get your hands on the new cat ears helmet in Halo Infinite’s Winter Contingency event by going to the in-game store and purchase the Cat Lover’s Bundle.
In order to get the cat ears helmet, players will need to spend 1000 Credits to purchase the Cat Lover’s Bundle, which is approximately $8.99 or £7.99.
Here’s what the Cat Lover’s Bundle contains:
- Faded Blush Epic Armor Coating (Mark VII)
- Purrfect Audio (Cat Ears) Epic Helmet Attachment
- Rare Tabby Charm
- Epic Kat Charm
The cat ears cosmetic is only available in Halo Infinite’s in-game shop, which may not be ideal news for Halo players looking to save money. And the cat ears helmet attachment cannot be purchased as a standalone item, you have to purchase the full bundle to get it. Credits can be purchased directly from the Halo Infinite shop.
How to Buy Halo Infinite Shop Credits
You’ll first need to buy some Halo Infinite Credits from the Microsoft Store or Steam if you want to purchase anything from the Halo Infinite Shop. Because these Credits are a premium currency, you’ll have to pay for them with real money.
For Halo Infinite players on Steam, If you have money in your Steam wallet, you can buy a battle pass or buy credits in the shop in-game. They will also appear in-game and in your Steam inventory.
Make sure purchasing is enabled in both the general Steam settings and the Halo: Infinite preferences. You can shift+tab to open the overlay. When you click buy credits and it asks to charge your current Xbox Live account, just click ok, then it will redirect to steam automatically.
Don’t worry, no matter how many credits you buy in Halo Infinite, no one gets an advantage or performance boost in the game as these Credits are only good in the Shop and only for cosmetic items.
How to Equip the Cat Ears Helmet Attachment in Halo Infinite?
You’ll need to buy the Cat Lovers bundle from the Item Shop in Halo Infinite in order to get the cat ears helmet. Once you purchase it, you’ll have the item available for use immediately. Press X to equip or unequip the Purrfect Audio Cat Ears Epic Helmet Attachment. Remember, Equippable items can be found under Customize.
In Halo Infinite’s Bot Bootcamp, a Spartan named Meownir wore this piece of cosmetic equipment.
Is the Cat Ears Helmet part of the Halo Infinite Battle Pass Rewards?
The Halo Infinite battle pass does not unlock the Cat Ears Helmet attachment for free, unfortunately. But as a consolation, if you buy the bundle, you’ll also get access to these other fun cosmetics.
All of Halo Infinite’s accessories are available through the armor hall. However, if you’re looking for a bit of extra protection, these might not be the best option.
Again, Purrfect Audio is only a cosmetic item that can only be obtained by purchasing the entire bundle from the in-game store. Although there are no cat ears in Halo Infinite’s new Winter Contingency holiday event, players can still participate and earn free rewards by completing daily challenges.
Battle Pass rewards can be earned by ranking up the battle pass for the Winter Contingency event’s battle pass, which ends on January 3, 2022.

Whether or not players of Halo Infinite agree with 343 Industries’ approach to XP progression in multiplayer, there’s no denying that the game’s cosmetic items, whether obtained through the game’s battle pass or purchased directly from the shop, are impressively detailed.
Halo Infinite players can expect more seasonal challenges as the new year draws closer. If players are unable to obtain the cat ears cosmetic item, they will still have access to a plethora of other fun cosmetics.
