Players are looking for how to change time in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Depending on your needs, it may not be the right time of the day for you. Luckily you can change time in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 instead of waiting it out. And you can do this without having to fiddle with the Nintendo Switch’s system clock. Here’s how:

Changeq Time in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

You can change time in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 by going to the game menu and selecting the Change Time tab. You can do this any time in free roam in the game. With the game’s day and night cycle, you can Change Time to be able to suit your needs.

It should be noted the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 uses military time. This means that the clock runs on a 24:00 hour timer than a 12:00 for convenience. For those who aren’t used to military time, here’s the overview:

    • Morning: 07:00 to 11:59
    • Noon: 12:00 to 15: 59
    • Evening: 16:00 to 18: 59
    • Night: 19:00 to 23:59
    • Midnight: 00:00 to 04:59
    • Dawn: 05:00 to 06:59

Some quests will require a certain time to take on. Take note of what the time is before you change time in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

The time in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 doesn’t quite follow the same rules as the real world. It functions a lot faster than ours, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t take long if you were to wait the old fashioned way. Not to mention that would probably just kill your Nintendo Switch’s batteries. This is why you should Change Time whenever you need to, helps get the job done faster.

From the table above, it would take you 24 minutes to reach a full in-game day. If you’re just playing the game normally, days would pass by without you noticing. This means that you’ll most likely only really change time in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 when quests asks you to.

What Changing Time Does in Xenoblade Chronicles 3?

Changing time in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 alters that time so that you’re in a different period of the day. This is important because some monsters only appear at night and some only show up during daytime. There are quests in the game that require to be taken at a specific time.

If you’re hunting for specific monsters, then you’ll have to change time if they only appear in a certain part of the day. The time also affects what NPCs show so completing certain quests or side quests is also affected.
