Befriending Dokugumon isn’t particularly easy but you can add them in your team.
How to Get Dokugumon in Digimon Survive?
To get Dokugumon in Digimon Survive, you have to befriend them first before they’ll agree to join your team. In a conversation with Dokugumon, you can fill up a meter above its head by providing the correct answers to their questions/statements. The bar needs to be at least 50% by the time the conversation is over to have a chance of befriending Dokugumon.
Each answer will fill up the bar differently. The higher the bar is filled up, the higher the chances Dokugumon will agree to join you. The best response fills up the bar by two segments. To get the highest chance for Dokugumon in Digimon Survive to join you, always choose the best answer in response to their questions or statements.

Dokugumon in Digimon Survive isn’t capable of much speech, but we can see that it certainly tries. It will admire those who have a backbone and aren’t afraid to stand up for themselves. In a conversation with Dokugumon, do not show any meekness even in your body language. Dokugumon will only go with you if you have shown you aren’t afraid of them.
Where to Find Dokugumon in Digimon Survive?
Dokugumon can be found in the Free Bat area of the school once players arrive in Part 3 of Digimon Survive. Although players can encounter Dokugumon as a boss fight early in Part 1, they cannot befriend them until the 3rd chapter.
It is possible to get Dokugumon earlier than Part 3 if players are willing to use hard earned Mature Enlightenment Slab to digivolve Gotsumon. Although we recommend against that since those are a very rare item in the beginning of the game.
