How to Get Guilmon in Digimon Survive?
To get Guilmon, you need to buy Digimon Survive within the first month of its sale. Purchasing the digital edition will have Guilmon automatically downloaded alongside the main game. Purchasing a physical copy of Digimon Survive will come with a code that’s inside the game’s box which will unlock Guilmon.
Unlike other games, Digimon Survive doesn’t offer traditional pre-order bonuses. Instead Namco Bandai is offering a promotion to players who get a copy of the game early. You’ll only have one month to get the chance to get Guilmon before the Fire Virus type Digimon is gone. We’re not sure if Guilmon will be coming back any time soon.
How to Download Guilmon in Digimon Survive
To download Guilmon, you simply have to download the full game if you’ve purchased it digitally. If you purchased a physical copy, you have to go to the Nintendo Online Store and redeem the code that came with the physical box. Simply start Digimon Survive after and you’ll have downloaded Guilmon.
Once you’re in the Main Menu of Digimon Survive, you’ll automatically get the message confirming that Guilmon has been downloaded. You just have to load your saved file or start a new game and you’ll have Guilmon as part of your party.
In case you’re not getting Guilmon automatically downloaded, you’ll have to go the Nintendo Online Store. From there, visit the Digimon Survive store page and go to the add-ons section. You may have to manually download it.
When can you use Guilmon in Digimon Survive?
You cannot use Guilmon in Digimon Survive until you have finished the Equipment tutorial. This will take a while as it is the final tutorial of the game’s prologue. This is about one hour into the game. After you’ve completed the Equipment tutorial simply go to the menu and select “Receive Rewards” options.
Even after you’ve downloaded Guilmon, you cannot use him immediately. You have to progress at least past the game’s tutorial. But once you’ve opted for the Receive Rewards option, you’ll get a level 1 Guilmon automatically received as part of the team.
