This guide will show you where to find all LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga Episode 1: The Phantom Menace minikit locations. Minikits can be challenging to locate since some of them can be hidden really well. They are worth finding though as collecting all five in each level rewards you with a ship to use in free play mode.
If you are having trouble looking for the minikits, the game also provides a “Rumor” for each of them, which gives players a hint as to where to find them. The base price of each rumor minikit is 30,000 studs, although players can reduce this price by a specific proportion by purchasing upgrades.
But in this guide, we already laid out where to find every minikit so you don’t have to go through the hassle of looking for each one. There are a total of 25 minikits that can be unlocked in Episode I: The Phantom Menace:
A Bigger Fish
Back to School minikit
This minikit can be found tied to some piece of metal on the left side of the screen. While being chased by the Opee Sea Killer, you have to launch a missile at it up in order to loosen it enough to acquire the minikit.
Rumor: “This minikit seems very fishy!”
Small Sub Solution minikit
This minikit can be found in the middle of a school of fish during the Opee Sea Killer chase. You can blow them up to acquire the minikit but make sure to position yourself in front first.
Rumor: “Is that submarine really small, or really far away…?”
Bubble Trouble minikit
This minikit can be found hidden inside a red bubble on the right side of the screen during the Colo Claw Fish chase. Blow up this bubble to acquire the minikit inside.
Rumor: “Don’t let this minikit drift by!”
Pop Goes the Minikit! minikit
This minikit can be found hidden inside a yellow bubble on the left side of the screen during the chase with the Opee Sea Killer. You have to blow up the bubble in order to acquire the minikit inside.
Rumor: “Why not “pop” over and free this minikit?”
Back-to-Back Bubbles minikit
This minikit can be found inside a green bubble on the left side of the screen after playing A Bigger Fish again on Free Play mode at the beginning of the chase.
Rumor: “Who’s been dumping their minikits in the water anyway?”
After getting all A Bigger Fish minikits, you will get the “Trade Federation Battleship” as a reward.
The Boonta Eve Classic
Fork in the Road minikit
This minikit can be found in the low path to the right near the beginning of the pod-racing. Take a right and drive through the red stop signs to find the minikit.
Rumor: “Go higher or lower!”
Arch Canyon minikit
This minikit can be found in the Arch Canyon which is in the north of the racing map. The minikit can be found underneath a rock formation towards the right.
Rumor: “Choose your route wisely…”
Spare Parts minikit
This minikit can be found near the end of the race just before you cross the finish line. Position yourself to the left and you should be able to see it.
Rumor: “Maybe the pit droids can help locate this one!”
Waldo Flats minikit
This minikit can be found between two metal structures in the southwest side of the racing map. You can find the minikit by sticking to the right of the diverging paths just after going through Laguna Caves.
Rumor: “Be careful around those giant rocks…”
Laguna Caves minikit
This minikit can be found in-between some stalagmites on the west of the racing map. When you’re inside the Laguna Caves you can spot the minikit by sticking to the left side.
Rumor: “Stalagmites or stalactites? That is the question!”
After getting all The Boonta Eve Classic minikits, you will get the “Naboo Royal Starship” as a reward.
Better Caul Maul
Trapdoor Treasures minikit
This minikit on the bottom right ring platform in the map where a couple of objects that can be broken have to be reconfigured into switches. Use the items around the level and both characters to hit them all simultaneously and then you’ll get the minikit.
Rumor: “In case of attack, hide all goodies in the nearest trapdoor!”
Vantage Point minikit
This minikit can be found at the very bottom of the map. Look for a vent in which Obi-Wan can use the Force on to create a platform. Scale the platforms you’ve created to reach the first minikit.
Rumor: “Find a high spot and take in the view… Who knows what you’ll find!”
Double Back minikit
This minikit is in the floor before the fight with Darth Maul begins, there is a hidden compartment you can unhook to pull out the minikit. You need to replay the level in Free Play Mode with a character like Padme to get this minikit.
Rumor: “Sometimes, to find what you are looking for, you must look back…”
Tempting Fate minikit
This minikit involves jumping to your death in the boss fight against Darth Maul. The minikit is in the middle of the ring platform.
Rumor: “Don’t look down…”
Who Cleans the Cleaners? minikit
This minikit can be found in the beginning of the level. Destroy all five cleaning robots before chasing Maul and you’ll get the minikit.
Rumor: “Maybe if it gets messy enough, the Trade Federation will leave this place alone?”
After getting all Better Caul Maul minikits, you will get the “Darth Maul’s Scimitar” as a reward.
Outmanned But Not Out-Gungan-ed
Probe Droid-Palooza minikit
This minikit can be found in the small area where you’ll have to destroy five drones in the sky. You’ll have to switch to a blaster character to be able to do this before you can acquire the minikit.
Rumor: “Be on the lookout for those pesky probe droids!”
Shiny minikit
This minikit is on the right side on the first area of the level. There is a pile of golden items which can be broken with a character using a powerful enough blaster to get to the minikit.
Rumor: “So sparkly and pretty, you almost forget about the battle raging all around you…”
Not the Catapult We’re Looking For minikit
This minikit can be found in a metal case that is just behind the vehicles. You need to swap to a character with explosive and smash the container to claim the minikit.
Rumor: “Check the battlefield for anything unusual.”
Bombad Statue minikit
This minikit can be grabbed after reassembling the green statue at the back of a small area. You need to use a Force-sensitive character for this like Obi-wan.
Rumor: “An artifact of high value in need of repair.”
Safely Guarded minikit
This minikit can be found on the left of the map. You’ll have to use a scavenger character to use an item to smash through the doors and pick up the minikit.
Rumor: “Break in case of emergency!”
After getting all Outmanned But Not Out-Gungan-ed minikits, you will get the “Trade Federation Landing Craft” as a reward.
Now This Is Podracing
Neat Trick minikit
This minikit requires that you finish the race portion which is at the beginning of the level in under 100 seconds. Since it is at the start of the level, you can restart if you’re unable to achieve it under the minimum amount of time.
Rumor: “Race through space!”
Bad Service minikit
This minikit requires that you destroy the four communication satellites located on the bottom of the ship.
Rumor: “Don’t let this vulture get away with the prize!”
Vultures minikit
Destroy 4 vulture droids as you’re flying around. There is a counter on the left side showing you what the droids look like. They’re this greenish-yellow spaceships. Destroy the necessary amount and you’ll get this minikit.
Rumor: “The Trade Federation are about to lose their favorite channels…”
Not Nailed Down minikit
In the turret section, destroy 4 B1 Battle Droids. They are the droids that infamously roll around with shields. After their destruction, you’ll be given this minikit.
Rumor: “Stop that battle droid from running away with the goods!”
Not-So-Empty MTT minikit
In the turret section, destroy 10 MTTs. They are in the background on the floor and hanging from the ceiling. Accomplishing that will give you this minikit.
Rumor: “It’d be a shame if someone were to take down those Multi-Troop Transports…”
After getting all Now This Is Podracing minikits, you will get the “Naboo Starfighter” as a reward.
