The Death Star is perhaps one of the most famous Star Wars icon, and you can actually unlock it in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This is not the first time that this not-a-moon celestial structure has been LEGO-fied as there is actually a real-life LEGO kit of it, albeit it’s not-to-scale with the minifigs. The good news is that in this game, you can actually land and explore inside the Death Star!

In this guide, we will look into the steps on how to unlock the Death Star in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga.

How to Unlock the Death Star?

To unlock the Death Star in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, you must complete the Operation: Stardust mission received from a Rebel Engineer in Yavin 4. In order for this side mission to become available you must first do these:

    • Unlock and travel to Federal District in Coruscant at least once
    • Complete the Episode IV: A New Hope

How to Get the Death Star in Operation: Stardust?

Operation: Stardust is a relatively easy quest with a very generous reward. It can be cleared within 10 minutes. Just follow the steps below:

Talk to the Rebel Engineer in Yavin 4

You can find the Rebel Engineer at the third level of the Great Temple. His location is marked by a ship icon on the minimap and you can see the Death Star in a speech bubble when you approach him. He will tell you to steal the Death Star plans in Coruscant

Go to the office of Grand Moff Tarkin in Federal District, Coruscant

Travel to the Federal District in Coruscant and then head towards the Coruscant Senate Building. Follow the markers until you see the Irate Imperial. Talk to him an accept to help him catch the thief who stole the plans.

    Locate the thief

Follow the markers once more to the west side of the district until you see the thief. He will be standing near the stairs with a speech on his head. After talking to him, he will try to flee away from you and ride his AT-ST.

Shoot at the AT-ST using the Tripod Laser Cannon

Near the area where the AT-ST is parked is a tripod laser cannon. Use it to shoot at the AT-ST until it breaks. Then, the thief will once again try to run, but you can catch him this time and you can finally get the Death Star plans.

Deliver the plans back to the Rebel Engineer

Head back to the Great Temple at Yavin 4 and talk to the Rebel Engineer to hand over the plans to him. You can then purchase the ship from your Menu for 5,000,000 studs.

How to Summon the Death Star in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga?

To summon the Death Star, go to any planet’s space region and then from Menu > Ships > Capital Ships, select the Death Star. It will then warp into the area and then you can board it. Of course, the Death Star can only be accessible in space and you can’t drive it around in this game, though there is a mini Death Star that you can ride inside it.
