Game publisher SEGA recently revealed that video game Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be getting a PlayStation 5 version, an English dub, and many more.
SEGA officially confirmed that the western version of the popular Japanese video game will now get a PS5 version for the west in addition to the previously announced Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 releases. With the Xbox Series X Smart Delivery system, players are ensured that by buying the game once, they can play it on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X. There is also a plan for a PS5 upgrade path later on for the Western release.
The publisher announced that there will be an English voice cast for the game, which will include a lot of popular actors like the legendary TV and film actor George Takei. He will take on the role of Masumi Arakawa, a powerful patriarch whose dissolution of the Tojo Clan’s yakuza empire starts the conflict. The game will also feature full EFIGS subtitle support.
The main cast includes the following talent:
• Kaiji Tang as Ichiban Kasuga, protagonist of the story returning from 18 years spent in prison
• George Takei as Masumi Arakawa, patriarch of the Arakawa Family
• Andrew Morgado as Koichi Adachi, an ex-cop on the search for truth
• Greg Chun as Yu Nanba, downtrodden former nurse making amends with the world
• Elizabeth Maxwell as Saeko Mukoda, a bar hostess on a mission
The previously announced Day One Edition will now be called the Day Ichi Edition. There are also several other special editions available on all platforms’ digital storefronts starting today.
