Game Producer Yosuke Saito of the NieR series at Square Enix has recently given fans a hint of what to expect soon and a bit of news of upcoming video game Babylon’s Fall.
According to the traditional end of the year messages published by Famitsu, Saito shared his own message about their plans for the near future. Media outlet DualShockers translated the message here:
2021 Keyword: “NieR”
Aspirations for 2021: “The NieR series is still continuing for a bit. Please look forward to NieR Reincarnation and NieR Replicant v1.22”
Latest news: “So yeah I’m still working on NieR. Oh, and there’s also Babylon’s Fall, and a brand new game. I’m so busy…”
What I’m looking forward to in 2021: “Fishing. I feel like it’ll get popular again. Fishing is super addictive if you love games.”
It is also possible that the teased new game will include mysterious and popular game industry icon Yoko Taro. He has been seen working closely with Saito, so it is a possibility.
Babylon’s Fall was supposed to launch n Summer 2020, but when the global pandemic hit, development got delayed. The dev team is currently working from home.
