The Dead Space Remake is coming out on PC this January 27, 2023 and it’s got a massive upgrade compared to its original. The Dead Space Remake PC system requirements are going to be quite demanding so you better have some capable hardware. Here are the system requirements for Dead Space Remake on PC.

Dead Space Remake PC System Requirements

    Minimum System Requirements

    • Window 10 64-bit
    • Processor: Core i5 8600, Ryzen 5 2600x
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: GTX 1070, AMD RX 5700
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 50 GB available space
    • Additional Notes: SATA SSD

    Recommended System Requirements

    • Window 10 64-bit
    • Processor: Core i5 11600K, Ryzen 5 5600X
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: GeForce RTX 2070, Radeon RX 6700 XT
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 50 GB available space
    • Additional Notes: PCIe SSD compatible

Did you know that the original Dead Space was only 8 GB? The Dead Space Remake PC System Requirements is more than 8 times its size. Developers Visceral Games used lighting techniques to hide some of the poor texture behind the darkness which only added to the game’s horror. Now with the advancement in technology, developers Motive Studios is taking full advantage of modern hardware to give the Dead Space Remake the makeover it deserves.

You really need to be updated on the hardware if you want to run the Dead Space Remake smoothly. Anything below an SSD or a GTX 1070 has the game running choppy. If you’ve kept up on modern hardware, then you should have no problems playing this game.

Can you run Dead Space Remake without an SSD?

While it is recommended that you get at least a SATA SSD, you can run the Dead Space Remake with an HDD alone. However expect that load times will take longer and some things will not be at peak performance. Not to worry though as you won’t lose any FPS playing the game on HDD as long as your GPU can handle it.

Even without an SSD, it’s possible to play the Dead Space Remake on HDD. Just ensure that you have the right hardware for it all. If you like this article, we have more on Dead Space Remake:
