It’s pretty tricky to get The Final Strand missions as it has some pretty heavy requirements. This quest cannot be taken until you have completed all the Lightfall story missions. It’s only then that you’ll be able to unlock the Strand subclass to use whenever you want outside of the Lightfall expansion. Then, you have to purchase all the fragments, aspects, and grenades for one of your Strand subclasses using Strand Meditations. It’s only after completing all of these that you’re finally able to start The Final Strand quest from the Pouka Pond in Neomuna.
Despite the heavy list of requirements to even get started on the quest, it is entirely worth it to go through it to get the Final Warning in Destiny 2. This weapon can automatically mark your targets and then fire bullets that track those marked targets. Any marked target hit with its fully charged burst will unravel.
After completing The Final Strand quest, you’ll be rewarded with The Final Warning exotic sidearm. What’s interesting is that this weapon wasn’t intended to be coming out at least a few weeks into the Season of Defiance. Since you needed to unlock all the Fragments for one Strand subclass, it was impossible to do so because they were time gated. Bungie released an update that allows you to purchase Strand Fragments after negative reception.

What is the Final Warning in Destiny 2?
Final Warning is an exotic kinetic sidearm that gives you the unique feature of automatically marking targets in range. Hip firing at marked targets will fire bullets that track them dealing body shots.
