The Runner’s Sandals award in Monster Hunter Rise is a simple achievement to get, but it can get confusing and time consuming especially if you don’t take notes and can easily forget stuff.
How to Unlock Runner’s Sandals Award Achievement
To get the Runner’s Sandals achievement, you have to talk to each and every NPC present in Kamura Village and its connecting areas at least once.
Lucky for you, we’ve gone through the effort of finding them so you don’t have to. Just follow this guide and you should get the achievement in no time.
Where to find the NPCs to complete the Runner’s Sandals Award?
We’ll start in the central village area and move to the different areas.
Kamura Village Center
The village center serves as the main hub for the singleplayer mode of the game and the starting point for hunters.
Fugen the Elder
Fugen can be easily seen on top of the steps to the big furnace. He gives out story requests so he’s impossible to miss.
Homura the Loyal
The good boi Homura is just beside his master Fugen.
Senri the Mailman
Senri is the Palico you can talk to when you want to go online or claim rewards.
Tsukiri the Sailor
Tsukiri roams around the village, but just look for someone carrying two buckets on his shoulder.
Buddy Smithy Kisaki
Kisaki is the Palico tending the Buddy Smithy.
Hamon the Blacksmith
Hamon is the one tending the Smithy.
Mihaba the Apprentice
Mihaba is on his stall beside the Smithy.
Senior Hunter Hanenaga
Hanenaga is usually by the hanging bridge or at Mihaba’s stall.
Ikari the Sailor
Ikari roams the village and can sometimes be at the port docks.
Kajika the Fishmonger
Kajika can be at the fish stall or can be found bathing in front of your house. If this happens and you can’t talk to Kajika, just move to any part of the village and move back.
Rice Ball Artist Seihaku
Seihaku is at the vegetable stall.
Wakana the Greengrocer
Wakana is at the vegetable stall.
Kagero the Merchant
Kagero is the main merchant in the center of the village. Hard to miss.
Zenchi the Doctor
Zenchi can be beside Kagero or can sometimes be on top of a roof above Canyne Master Inukai. You can use your wirebugs to get on top of the roof.
Rice Merchant Senari
Senari can be found inside the house behind Kagero’s cart.
Hinoa the Quest Maiden
She’s in the middle of the village center and the person to talk to for village quests.
Komitsu the Sweettooth
Komitsu can be seen sitting with Hinoa.
Canyne Master Inukai
Inukai can be found near Hinoa.
Goka the Trusty
Goka can be found just beside Inukai.
Umbrella Merchant Hinami
Hinami can be found on the bridge that leads to the main village gate.
Yomogi the Chef
Yomogi can be found tending the dango outdoor restaurant.
Shiratama the Tea Dealer
Shiratama is one of the Palicos that are pounding the dango paste.
Kinako the Tea Dealer
Kinako is one of the Palicos that are pounding the dango paste.
Shika the Poet
Shika rests in front of the dango restaurant.
Novice Hunter Taishi
Taishi rests in front of the dango restaurant.
Hobashira the Sailor
Hobashira can be found at the docks. This is at the farthest side of the village center, just past the entrance to the Gathering Hub.
Your Room
There are only two Palicos inside your room that you have to interact with, one is well hidden.
Housekeeper
The Housekeeper is your Palico aid in your house.
Fukashigi the Informant
Fukashigi is hiden behind your room’s wall. Interact with the painting behind your housekeeper to find him.
Gathering Hub
There are a couple more NPCs that can be talked to inside the Hub and the connecting prep area.
Badum the Drummer
Badum is one of the Palicos playing the huge drum near the entrance. If you can’t talk to these Palicos, then make sure to switch your game’s BGM to its default.
Tish the Drummer
Tish is one of the Palicos playing the huge drum.
Guild Master Hojo
Hojo is is the Wyverian that’s riding the small Tetsucabra. He’s the one to talk to when urgent quests come up.
Minoto the Hub Maiden
Minoto is the person to talk to when starting hub quests.
Maido the Merchant
Maido serves as the merchant inside the hub and is just beside Minoto.
Hanamori the Guide
Hanamori is tending the mask stall, just below the stairs to the prep area.
Otemai the Chef
Otemai stands near the dango prep area, just across the tables where you can eat dango.
Master Utsushi
Utsushi stands at the patio area of the hub.
High Rank Hunter Ayame
Ayame stands near the railings on the hub patio.
Nakago the Blacksmith
Nakago serves as the blacksmith inside the hub’s prep area.
Buddy Smithy Kojiri
Kojiri serves as the buddy smithy and works beside Nakago.
Housekeeper
This Housekeeper is standing inside the hub prep area.
Buddy Plaza
This is another section connected to the village where you can see the Argosy and the buddy training area.
Buddy Handler Iori
Iori handles the buddy recruitment.
Buddy Expert Shirubei
Shirubei handles the buddy training and can also give you rewards from time to time.
Felyne Chief Kogarashi
Kogarashi handles the buddy deployment.
Kotori the Trader
Kotori is the Palico that is busy checking the stocks near the Argosy.
Rondine the Trader
Rondine is near the Argosy and handles the special trades.
Chino the Trader
Chino is the Palico busy painting near the Argosy.
Sekirei the Trainer
Sekirei is the Palico and the only NPC in the training area.
Does getting the Runner’s Sandals award provide a boost?
No, it does not. It’s simply an achievement. But it does make your guild card look more complete.
Once you manage to interact to each and every NPC in the village, you’ll then receive the Runner’s Sandals award which can be seen in your Guild Card.
Quick Tip: it helps if you note down everyone you’ve talked to to be more efficient and prevent confusion.
