Warfare isn’t all fought by foot in Battlefield 2042 as its huge sprawling maps can be very difficult to traverse without any vehicles. But as you’re running around wondering where you can find a ride, not one seems to be in sight. Don’t just huff and walk all the way, call in a vehicle. In this guide, we’ll teach you how to call vehicles to your side anytime.

Battlefield 2042 How to Call In Vehicles

Now there are tons of vehicles in Battlefield 2042 and they can be quite varied. In maps filled with typhoons, sandstorms, and unfriendly terrain you’ll be caught dead without a ride. Vehicles provide a shelter from the chaos outside giving the edge in a fight. They can turn the tides of war and can be called from anywhere. Here’s how you call vehicles.

    Battlefield 2042 Vehicles

    How to Call Vehicles

You can call vehicles anytime and anywhere. However, your team is only allowed a set number of vehicles at the same time. So if you can’t summon any then you’re going to have to wait a while until someone blows up.

    Choose Where to Deploy

Take note of your environment first and foremost. Larger vehicles need more space to drop. You’ll find that you won’t be able to call in a tank in such a tight place.

Ideally find somewhere you can be alone. The vehicle you call in can be commanded by anyone as soon as it drops. If you don’t like the idea of the enemy team sweeping it up or even your teammate taking it without permission then keep up your guard.

    Bring Up Call-In Tablet

In order to select the Call-In Tablet, you can press both the analog sticks on your PlayStation and Xbox consoles. If you’re playing on PC, you can bring up the Call-In Tablet by pressing B which is the default assigned button for that action.

Keep in mind that you’re vulnerable while you’re in the Call-In Tablet. An enemy could just as easily shoot you when you’re busy.

    Choose Which Vehicles To Call

On the Call-In Tablet you’ll see a list of vehicles available for the map you’re in. But as mentioned if too many of them are on the field at the moment, then you won’t be able to call in any.

Once you’ve chosen a vehicle to deploy, all you have to do is wait until it drops.

Vehicles That Can’t Be Called In

Not every vehicle can be airdropped from the sky. Aviation vehicles such as jets or helicopters have to be taken back at your main base. No doubt there’ll be competition for it as it is also a limited amount.

You also can’t call vehicles you haven’t unlocked yet if they’re above the level you’re on. You need to level up first before they can be called in to your location.

    Unlocking Vehicle Upgrades

There is incentive for driving vehicles in the game. Every kill you make earns progress for a specific vehicle allowing you to upgrade them by gaining new pieces. Assist kills also count towards overall progress so you don’t need to man the helm every time.

We recommend choosing vehicles that truly place the odds in your favor. Tanks, anti-aircraft, and helicopters are wonderful vehicles to focus upgrading on.

Now you have everything you need to know to call in vehicles at anytime in Battlefield 2042 as well as upgrade them. Thank you reading our guide! If you’re interested in more of our Battlefield 2042 content, we have several articles that may pique your interest.
