Message in a Bottle is one of the various side quests that can be done in Dead Island 2. A note left inside a bottle exposes what appears to be some unfair and biased review-bombing of an individual by some restaurants in the area.

How to start the Message in a Bottle side quest?

To start the Message in a Bottle side quest, head over to the beach in the middle of The Pier map and you will find a half-buried bottle near the waterline. You will also get the Bucket o’ Fish Door Key.

Make your way to the Bucket o’ Fish north of The Pier and head down to its basement. There are lots of traps along the way, so stay vigilant and try to disarm the ones that you can. At the very back of the basement is where you will find the Review: Bucket o’ Fish: One Star Journal.

Next, go to Pier Grill and check the table near the crashed helicopter to find the Review: Pier Grill: Two Stars Journal.

Lastly, make your way north east of The Pier to reach the Hot Dog Shack. You will see a slobber named A.R. Oliver that you have to defeat. Once done, pick up the Review: Hotdg Shak: Twelvteen Strs Journal to complete the quest. You will also receive 3,000 XP and the Caustic Blight Skill for completing the quest.
