The delay of Genshin Impact 2.7 has really affected the gaming community since it was the first time that HoYoVerse had postponed the introduction of new content to the game. There have been speculations that the upcoming update is going to take a long time to get released, but new leaks have suggested otherwise.
Genshin Impact 2.7 Release Date Leaked
According to the leakers, update 2.7 is not that far away anymore even though HoYoVerse did say the delay was due to the pandemic getting worse in Shanghai and a lockdown was announced. It seems the developers have now found a way to get it released earlier than everyone expected, and some say it is going to be on May 20, 2022 the earliest.
Compensation for Long Delay Announced
To compensate for the long delay, HoYoVerse promised to release a lot of Primogems and other items to everyone for every week that update 2.7 gets delayed. Fans are overjoyed that they will be compensated, but it is still depressing that the current banner is going to be prolonged and the new ones will not be added in the original allotted time.
What Kind of Compensation Are We Getting?
According to HoYoVerse, the compensation will be distributed every week. It will include 400 Primogems, 1 Fragile Resin, 7 Hero’s Wit, 16 Mystic Enhancement Ore, and 12,000 Mora.
Genshin Impact 2.7 Banner Leak New Characters
Leakers also claim to know about the new characters and the banners that will appear in the next update:
According to them, there will be two phases. It is possible that this will follow previous iterations of HoYoVerse’s new system for banners with one phase having two banners and the other, a single one together with the weapons banner.
The leakers said that the first banner will have Yelan and Xiao and the Weapons banner will feature both weapons from both of them. The 4-star characters will include Yanfei, Barbara, and Noella.
Then on the second phase, it is said that Arataki Itto will be the 5-star character featured in the banner while the real star, Kuki Shinobu, will be accompanying him together with other 4-star characters. They did not share which characters will be joining her. The weapons banner will include Itto’s signature weapon.
Again, take these leaks with a grain of salt for now.
