LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga Senate Showdown Challenges Guide

Senate Showdown is one of the main missions in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga where Master Yoda, along with Captain Typho, confront Emperor Palpatine after Master Yoda learns that Palpatine is actually Darth Sidious. Now that he has managed to take over the senate, and with the blow dealt by Order 66, the Jedi will have to find a way to defeat the Dark Side.

In this guide, we will look into the tips and tricks on how to clear all challenges of the Senate Showdown mission.

How to Unlock the Senate Showdown Mission?

To unlock Senate Showdown, you have play through the first three missions of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

There are three challenges in the Senate Showdown mission which have their own conditions:

    • Dazzling Display: Use the lights to blind Palpatine.
    • Heads Up: Drop a droid onto Palpatine’s head.
    • Return to Senator: Interrupt Palpatine’s “Force Lightning Spin Attack” by deflecting the Force Lightning back at him.

Completing all challenges will reward you with a Kyber Brick.

    Dazzling Display Challenge

While using a Scoundrel, use your special aim and aim at the spotlight. Follow the aim at the final electric box and then shoot it. This will cause the spotlight to turn and point towards Darth Sidious, blinding him and completing the challenge.

    Heads Up Challenge

Head to the lever on the wall on the opposite side of the room. Use a character that has a grapple hook and latch on to the lever to bring it down. This will open the roof above Darth Sidious and make a droid fall on top of him, which will complete the quest.

    Return to Senator Challenge

Once Darth Sidious does his Force Lightning Spin Attack, hold the Block key while using Master Yoda to block against his attack, then move the reticle towards him to deflect the lightning back at him. After doing this, you will complete the challenge.

    Senate Showdown Challenge Tips
    • It is recommended to play through the entire main story first and re-visit the level on free play to make sure that you have a character for each class.
    • Some players have reported that they have encountered issues on getting the Return to Senator challenge completed. It is possible that this is a bug that will be patched out. Just make sure to remember that you have to aim the lightning back at Darth Sidious while still blocking. If it still doesn’t get completed, try doing it for another run on the level.
    Unlockable Characters in Senate Showdown

Here are the characters that you can unlock in the Senate Showdown mission:

    • The Emperor – can also be unlocked by using the code “SIDIOUS”
    • Clone Trooper (501st Legion)
    • Clone Trooper (Coruscant Guard)

All characters listed above can be unlocked just by completing the mission.
