We Were Here Forever Walkthrough – All Puzzle Solutions

An overview of all the chapter walkthroughs of We Were Here Forever.

We Were Here Forever Walkthrough cover

We Were Here Forever is the fourth installment to the We Were Here series and one that built on the stories of the first three games. Similar to its predecessors, it is a two-person co-op game where both players should help each other solve puzzles and complete challenges in order to find an escape from the fallen kingdom of Castle Rock.

Worry not because we have prepared We Were Here Forever Walkthrough guides for you to check out and get solutions from. The gameplay of We Were Here Forever revolves around puzzles and though they are not impossible to solve, you and your partner can get stumped on some of them for hours.

We have broken down the entire game guide into six chapters and compiled all chapters in this article to make navigating through them easier.

Note that Chapters 3 to 6 can be completed in any order, depending on player choices. There aren’t any spoken chapter breaks in the game itself, but the transitions to the next chapters are obvious enough. Each guide listed below are also linked to their own walkthrough pages.

How to complete all We Were Here Forever Achievements

To complete all We Were Here Forever Achievements, a player must have played as both sides of every asymmetric puzzle, and they should have also gone through both sides of the ending. To do this, a player only needs to play through the entire game at least twice, provided that they do not do the same roles that they’ve done in the previous playthrough.

There are a total of 39 achievements in We Were Here Forever. 18 of these achievements can be acquired by both players during a single run, while the rest are player-specific, role-specific, or choice specific. Some parts of a run are already fixed to a certain player, while some parts allow players to pick what role they would want to go for. Examples of these parts are in Chapter 1 prior to entering the Dial Rooms, and in The Nautilus prior to going into the Sunken Mines.

Who are the Explorers in We Were Here Forever?

It was specifically mentioned in Total Mayhem’s Podcast #10 that the two explorers that players will be playing as in We Were Here Forever are the same explorers that were left behind/decided to stay in We Were Here and in We Were Here Too.

As for the timeline of the events of all four games, the devs seemed to have left it open for interpretation while also suggesting that the explorers might not have come from the same time period prior to entering Castle Rock.
