Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 District Completion: Everything You Need to Know

District completion is a staple in all of Marvel’s Spider-Man games, and it is no different in Spider-Man 2. While the scale and number of things to do have increased compared to previous titles, there’s no denying that the task of achieving 100% overall progress is practically expected of this title.

There are 14 districts in the game in total. Progress in district completion involves doing all the activities present in that district. Thankfully, Spider-Man 2 tracks the location of almost every uncovered activity, save for the location of Spider-Bots. Those you’ll need to find on your own.

    There are 3 rewards for completing a district in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2:

    • 2x Rare Tech Parts
    • Fast Travel Unlocked
    • 2x Hero Tokens

All rewards are very useful for their intended purpose. Especially the Fast Travel option, which cuts moving across the map to less than a second. (A part of me actually misses the subway load in-between sequences.) Hero Tokens, on the other hand, are extremely hard to come by in the early to mid-game. They are abundant only in the late game, where the hardest challenges can be found.

The following is a list of activities you need to unlock in order to progress in a city’s district. Most of these are locked at the start of the game and will gradually unlock as the player makes progress throughout the main story.

If you manage to do all the activities in all of the city districts, you will unlock the Superior Gold trophy. A prerequisite to unlocking the game’s platinum trophy. When it comes to the best time to do the activities, my best advice is to do them as they appear. Some of these early-game activities have rewards that simply don’t make much of a difference in the late game. You might as well get them over with if only to get the rewards out of the way. And looking at a clean map is its own reward.

That’s everything you need to know about district completion in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. And while you’re at it, we’ve listed our guides below to help you achieve 100% overall progress in the game.

    More Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Guides:

    • Spider-Bots Locations
