Shin Megami Tensei V Leveling: How to Level Up Fast

Your party’s level in Shin Megami Tensei V will be a deciding factor as to whether or not you can take on more powerful enemies. If you’re looking to level up fast then you’re in luck! This guide will teach you how to farm EXP points and level up fast in Shin Megami Tensei V.

Shin Megami Tensei Farm EXP and Level Up Faster

There are four ways to farm experience in Shin Megami Tensei. Certain enemies give more EXP than others so you should know what to look out for as you roam the world so you can level up fast.

    Fight Demons

The tried and true way to grinding and farming EXP is by simply battling demonic foes and winning. If you don’t mind the grind, then fighting strong enemies repeatedly gains you a reliable source of EXP.

You should note that if you negotiate with demons to get them into your party, you’ll get no EXP from it. So keep in mind if you think a demon is worth defeating for its EXP or recruiting it for the strength it adds to your numbers.

    Fuse Stronger Allies

If the demons in your party are starting to wear out their use, you can fuse them together to create more powerful allies at higher levels. Fusing demons is an essential mechanic to take advantage of in Shin Megami Tensei V.

You can perform demon fusions at the World of Shadows, similar to the Cathedral of Shadows in Shin Megami Tensei III.

Defeat the Mitamas, Ara Mitama and Kushi Mitama

The Ara Mitama and Kushi Mitama aren’t your ordinary demons. They provide extra experience points ideal for those who wish to level up fast in Shin Megami Tensei V. On defeat, Ara Mitama and Kushi Mitama will drop items that you can consume to earn EXP.

The spawn rate of Ara Mitama and Kushi Mitama are low so they’re a rare sight. Defeat them as soon as possible to ensure they can’t run away.

Increase Ara and Kushi Mitama Spawn Rate

    Dance of EXP DLC

If you have the Mitama Dance of EXP DLC then you can head to options to increase the spawn rate of these demons. It comes included if you purchased the Shin Megami Tensei V Digital Deluxe Edition or Physical Premium Edition. Otherwise you can purchase the DLC for $2.99 USD.

    Demon Statues

The last method if to keep an eye out for Demon Statues. They will level up the demons in your party when you interact with it; so they’re useful for strengthening your allies. However demon statues only affect the demons in your party and not the protagonist himself.
