LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga The Hunt for Jango Challenges Guide

The Hunt for Jango is one of the main missions in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga where Obi-Wan is trying to chase down Jango and Boba Fett through an asteroid field. The mission itself is easy and straightforward, however it is the challenges that are a bit tricky to accomplish.

In this guide, we will look into the tips and tricks on how to clear all challenges of The Hunt for Jango mission.

How to Unlock The Hunt for Jango Mission?

In Episode II: Attack of the Clones, complete the first mission A Wrestle with Wesell and The Hunt for Jango will be unlocked.

How to Complete The Hunt for Jango Challenges in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

There are three challenges in The Hunt for Jango mission which have their own conditions:

    • Do an Aileron Roll: Perform a roll to dodge incoming missiles locked on to your ship 3 times.
    • Charged up: Complete the level without being hit by a Seismic Charge.
    • Flying is for Droids: Navigate through the tunnel within the largest asteroid without crashing.

Completing all challenges will reward you with a Kyber Brick.

Do an Aileron Roll Challenge - The Hunt for Jango Challenges in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

    Do an Aileron Roll Challenge

To complete the Do an Aileron challenge, do a barrel roll by pressing on the L1 and R1 along with pointing the Left Analog Stick to either the left or the right just before the missile hits your ship. You can tell that there is a missile heading your way when the “Incoming Missile” warning goes across the screen.

This challenge requires some timing and quick reflexes to complete and even with those, there are players who have reported that some dodges did not count or some of the missiles still exploded even though they dodged them. It is still unclear if this is some sort of a bug and if it will be fixed with a patch, but some players have found an easy way to do the required aileron rolls.

The trick is to press L1 and R1 and then follow it up with an L1 while timing it still just before the missile hits. It also helps if you close the gap between you and the Slave I, just close enough that you can still react to the missile when it is out.

    Charged up Challenge

To complete the Charged up challenge, look out for red area markers within the asteroid field and try to avoid them. If you stray close, the seismic charges will be triggered, causing it to explode. It has a pre-explosion animation showing two jets of energy on each “pole”, and then it explodes in a disc shape. Be aware of how the “poles” are oriented so that you can avoid the main explosion.

    Flying is for Droids Challenge

To Complete the Flying is for Droids challenge look for the biggest asteroid in the field and fly through one of its openings. For the challenge to count as completed, you have to fly into the asteroid and pass through its central chamber before exiting out of any of the openings opposite to where you entered from, all without scratching your ship while inside.

There are lots of rock formations within the central chamber that you can shoot at to break into smaller pieces, and there is also a minikit within the central chamber that you can grab.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga The Hunt for Jango Challenge Tips

    • Don’t go to the yellow marked area yet once you arrive at the asteroid field. This way, you don’t trigger the chase with Jango yet and you will have time to explore the field, get all the minikits, and clear the Flying is for Droids challenge.
    • You do not have to complete every challenge in one go. It helps to do the Charged up and Do an Aileron Roll challenges on their own runs.
