The Best Welgun Loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone is capable of slicing through opponents at a breakneck pace. With correct attachments, this gun has one of the quickest time-to-kill metrics among its category and a similar fire rate to Vanguard’s MP40.
As a result of the new guns, buffs and nerfs introduced in Season 3 of Warzone’s meta, the game has undergone significant changes. And if you want to wield the Welgun at it’s maximum performance, you’ll need to run a meta loadout. Here’s what you need to know.

Use the Recoil Booster muzzle to increase your Welgun Loadout’s rate of fire, and then pair it with the 120mm Gawain Short Barrel.
The Gawain Skeletal stock will improve the sprint-to-fire time and movement speed of the gun, and the m1941 Hand Stop and the Fabric Grip will aid the weapon’s recoil. After doing so, you will be able to take advantage of the improved precision of the weapon by employing the Slate Reflector optic.
We decided to go with the 7.62 Gorenko 40 Round Mags, which may seem like a poor choice owing to the small size of the clip, but this attachment improves the Welgun’s ability to regulate its recoil, increase its movement speed, and most importantly, increase its fire rate. We went with the Lengthened type of ammo due to the sheer additional boost in velocity that it offers for this particular loadout.
Acrobatic boosts the Welgun’s mobility and sprint speed, while Quick increases the Welgun’s sprint speed. These are the perks we selected.

- Perk 1: E.O.D
- Perk 2: Overkill
- Perk 3: Amped
- Lethal: Semtex
- Tactical: Stim
To keep your enemies on their toes, use E.O.D to bounce around and tank some explosions. You can use Overkill and Amped to rapidly switch between the Welgun and a long-range weapon like the HDR.
When it comes to lethal and tactical equipment, the Semtex and Stims combination is unbeatable.
Welgun Alternatives in Warzone
Alternatively, the MP40 is a great choice for close-range fighting if this speedy SMG loadout isn’t cutting it for you.
Welgun Warzone Loadout Secondary Weapon
With the Welgun doing all the job at close range, you’ll need an an AR to cover any other situations.
The STG44 can also be used for a more strategic approach rather than blitzing across the map and constantly accelerating the pace.
How to Unlock the Welgun in Warzone
The Welgun can be unlocked in three different ways. For starters, there’s the Vanguard Zombies strategy, which calls for five quick headshot kills across 50 separate portal objectives.
The second requires you to score 10 ADS kills with SMGs over the course of 15 rounds, which may be difficult to do given that Warzone’s scenario is a battle royale.
We strongly suggest that you stick with the multiplayer challenge as it is a lot easier than the Zombies option. The only way for your progress in the challenge to count is if you stay until the end of each match, thus it is vital to keep in mind that you cannot quit the game in the middle of it once you have racked up ten kills.
