When reaching Cursa’s stronghold, Darkmess Bowser is one of the 1st bosses that players will face. He is the result of the Megabug absorbing galactic debris over time that has created a copy of Bowser that once was controlling him. He uses the battlefield to his advantage by controlling and using area-type attacks. To make up for his lack of defense, he would spawn countless  Darkmess Rabbid Mechakoopas as his shield and would try to sacrifice them as cannon fodder.

To Beat Darkmess, players will need to know that Bowser will join your team line-up by default. Use him to take out the minion spawn by his counterpart and make to upgrade his Demolisher skill to attack Darkmess Bowser consistently. Not only that, have Luigi, Rabbid Peach, and Mario sent out to help Bowser survive.

When the battle starts, players will need to remember the following points to defeat the Darkmess Bowser:

  • Use the jump pads in the map and perform Team Jumps to get to Darkmess Bowser easily. Once players reach him, make sure to equip and use Glitter’s ability to get closer to you and attack him.
  • The minions spawned by Darkmess Bowser will need to get rid of very fast for not only they are resistant to elemental attacks but they can enhance the strength of their allies including Darkmess Bowser as well.
  • Darkmess Bowser abilities are similar to Bowser and he can use Mechakoopas. Stay out of its range and attack using Luigi from a safe distance.
  • Be sure to equip Sparks like Vampastra, Reflector, Starburst, and Regenesis to buff up and stay alive in the game upon facing Darkmess Bowser.
  • Use Luigi’s skills to pick off enemies from a distance, especially on the minions. Focus on using Aquanox sparks to dash incoming enemies and get out of the Bowser range easily.
  • Heal allies as much as possible to stay alive using Peach Rabbid’s ability and invest in her Healing Jump as possible to get close to Darkmess Bowser while healing your companions.
  • Make sure to upgrade as well Mario Jumpshot to attack Darkmess Bowser from mid-air by improving its accuracy and using his Dual Slingers to attack multiple enemies surrounding him.
  • Once Darkmess Bowser is defeated, players will receive 185 Coins and 430 Star Bits and also, move on to the next part of the main story.
