How to Get Legendary Shards in Destiny 2?

There are several ways of getting Legendary Shards in Destiny 2, though not all of them yield the same amount shards in a given amount of time. Season Pass Rewards: Legendary Shard Dismantle Bonus

What this does is it gives you an additional Legendary Shard on all weapons and gear that you dismantle. Legendary weapons and gear will now give 4 shards, while Exotic ones will now give 6 shards.

So the best way to go about this is to stock up, reach Rank 20 as quick as you can, and then dismantle away once you have the boost up. Taking up bounties will earn you Season XP, so make sure to get them before doing activities. Though the bonus may look small, it will add up quickly the more stuff that you dismantle.

Weapon and Gear Farming in Strikes and Crucible

Depending on your playstyle, you would want to either do Strikes for PvE or Gambit and Crucible for PvP to gain more loot to dismantle. Plus, these activities allow the use of Prosperity Mods on Ghosts so that you can get a better chance of getting additional legendaries.

Farming Dares Of Eternity

Legendary Shards and some of the strongest weaponry in Destiny 2 may be found at Dares of Eternity. Dares of Eternity’s reputation grind is a lot slower than other ritual activities, but the weapons you get from them make up for it.
