The king is back! Or at least the third iteration of the iconic IKELOS SMG. The IKELOS_SMG_V1.0.3 is the latest of the meta-defining IKELOS weaponry.

In this guide, we’ll review a couple of god roll IKELOS SMG builds you’ll want to craft for PvP and PvE. While it’s fine to get these rolls on a random drop, a crafted weapon ultimately has more potential and is something for you to work towards. With that being said, let’s go over the perks that you can get from the IKELOS_SMG_V1.0.3.

God Roll IKELOS SMG for PvE

According to many sources and Light.gg themselves, the best roll to have on the IKELOS SMG for PvP is a combination of Feeding Frenzy + Voltshot.

As for the barrel and magazine mods, we suggest going for a combination of Chambered Compensator + Flared Magwell. Reload speed is what you want most of all. And then some stability so you won’t be shooting too wildly into the air.

Ranged combat for an SMG isn’t really what you want it for in PvE. You want this weapon to be continuously pumping out damage and reloading as fast as humanly possible so you can spread Voltshot to another unfortunate yellow bar enemy.

But if you’re still on the fence about it, you can also have a Ranged Intrinsic applied to your IKELOS SMG.

It’s pretty much a no-brainer at this point. This basically takes the best perk combinations on the Brigand’s Law sidearm from last season and is now gifted onto an aggressive frame ARC SMG.

With this combination, you can pretty much shred through any encounter with a bunch of enemies stacked on top of each other. What’s more, through Volt, Jolt does a heavy amount of damage on yellow bar enemies and even bosses.

Ole reliable

The IKELOS_SMG_V1.0.2 was a gun that defined the meta for the longest time. Before there was the Funnelweb, Crucible players were all too familiar with the efficient killing machine that is the IKELOS SMG. The principle for the third iteration remains mostly the same. You’ll want to invest in as much range as you can afford.

God Roll IKELOS SMG for PvP in Destiny 2

The PvP god roll for the IKELOS_SMG_V1.0.3 is actually straightforward. That means Full Bore + Accurized Rounds for the first and second perk slot and Perpetual Motion + Rangefinder in the third and fourth.

Usually, you’ll want to have stability when using an SMG in PvP. But because of the perpetual motion and rangefinder, you don’t need to go steady rounds. Especially when steady rounds reduce your range.

And because of Rasputin’s Arsenal, you will be getting bullets back when you break an opponent’s shield. Paired with certain Exotics, you can almost guarantee a kill with that amount of bullet spray.

Seraph rounds used to be the go-to perk in the second slot. But since it’s been nerfed, the perk doesn’t seem worthwhile anymore. But since you’re also going for the craftable version, it’s something you can have in the back pocket until such time that it’s good again.

That’s it for our short god roll guide on the IKELOS_SMG_V1.0.3 in the Season of the Seraph. And don’t worry too much about getting these as random rolls. remember, you can craft the IKELOS SMG once you’ve farmed enough red border SMGs and paid the Enclave on Mars a visit.
