Purify the Corruption is a Zone Event that can be done in the Dark Wood Zone in Diablo Immortal. As the name suggests, players will have to purify the zone by collecting corruption from the enemies in the area and use the Tree of Inifuss to materialize it in a form that can be beaten.
In this guide, we will be talking about the Diablo Immortal Purify the Corruption Zone Event, how to do it, and what rewards players can expect out of it.
How to unlock the Diablo Immortal Purify the Corruption Zone Event
To be able to access the Diablo Immortal Purify the Corruption Zone Event, you will have to reach and play on at least Hell I difficulty. This can be done by completing the entire solo campaign quest and reaching level 60 with your character. Once that is met, head towards the Dark Wood Zone and you can start collecting corruption.
How to complete the Diablo Immortal Purify the Corruption Zone Event
The main objective of the Purify the Corruption Zone Event is to gather corruption from the enemies in the area and take the corruption to the Tree of Inifuss.
Gathering Corruption
Every enemy that you slay within the Dark Wood zone can provide some corruption. You will see a bar on your quest counter showing how much corruption you have gathered so far.
Gathering corruption from the basic and elite enemies in the area might take a couple of minutes, depending on how much players are present in the area that are also farming the monsters, which may make gathering even longer. If you find that there are too many people slaying the monsters, you may consider moving on to a different difficulty, if you have access to one.
Another way of gathering a lot of corruption at once is by slaying the Blood Rose boss located at the west side of the Dark Wood zone. Beware of this boss, however, since it has quite a huge HP bar and it hits considerably hard. It’s a good idea to try and call for help from other players in the area, or if you have friends that can lend a hand in defeating this boss.
Once slain, the Blood Rose can give a huge chunk of corruption; almost around 30%. This would not entirely replace the option of gathering corruption from the other monsters in the area, though, and depending on how fast you are at slaying the Blood Rose, it may turn out to be a less efficient way. Ideally, you would also want to take on bounties for Dark Wood to optimize your time.
Defeating your Shadow Clone
Once you have filled up your corruption bar, head to the Tree of Inifuss at the east side of the Dark Wood zone. Interact with it and it will spawn a Shadow Clone of yourself.
You have to defeat this Shadow Clone in under 90 seconds to complete the event, or else you will have to do the event again.
Diablo Immortal Purify the Corruption Zone Event Rewards
Once the Shadow Clone has been slain, it will drop random gear and a Glowing Shard. The Glowing Shard is another upgrade material used to empower your gear to higher levels.
This event is repeatable if you need to farm for more Glowing Shards, you’ll just have to wait for the 20-minute cooldown upon slaying your clone or failing the event before you can gather more corruption.
