The Auto-9 sidearm is the best gun in RoboCop Rogue City, no doubt about that. But we can make good old reliable even stronger through PCB boards. In this guide, I’ll tell you where you can find all the PCB boards in the game and what they offer you in terms of firepower.
You first gain access to PCB boards at the start of the Mandatory Evaluation main quest. These boards allow you to change the nature of the Auto-9 to be able to adapt as the situation calls for it. Or you can decide to go for the highest DPS and disregard everything else. It’s all good.
How to change PCB Boards in RoboCop Rogue City
You don’t get to see what board you have equipped until you get your second board. You only see the board’s name once you have acquired your second board. When you do, the ‘CHANGE BOARD’ appears and that’s when you can swap boards at will.
It should be noted that the upgrade chips you apply stay on the current board. If you want to transfer over to the board, you’ll have to press the ‘RESET’ button and pull all the chips out. Also, the ENGINEERING Skill directly affects the quality of the chips you pick up. But does not affect the chips you currently have in your possession.
RoboCop Rogue City Omni Boards List
There are 10 Omni boards to find at various points of the story. It is not very likely to miss these as they are conveniently located in areas where mission objectives are going to be. But it is still possible to overlook them if you’re not paying attention.

- 2x Magazine Capacity
- 1x Weapon Spread
- 1x Reload Speed
- 2x Armor Piercing
- -10% penalty (full board access)
- Massive Damage: Increases damage dealt; no critical hits
- Single Shot Mode: Fires one round at a time; deals heavy damage
Comments: Handcannon board. It hits hard but the loss of critical hits means that no matter where you shoot, it does the same amount of damage. Slow rate of fire.
Omni Board – Tier 3.3
Location: Found on a desk in the middle of the drug supply room during the Unwanted Goods secondary objective of the Steel Mill.
Chipset:
- 4x Weapon Damage
- 1x Magazine Capacity
- 2x Weapon Spread
- 1x Reload Speed
- More Gore: Increases the volume of gore visual effects
- Auto Feeder: Auto ammo feeder; no need to reload
- Pellet Rounds: Some rounds may split dealing more damage at a short range
Comments: Hits incredibly hard against unarmored enemies. Auto ammo feeder is the key feature. Can potentially struggle against armored foes.
Omni Board – Tier 4.2
Location: OCP Container inside the Steel Mill secret area.
Chipset:
- 4x Weapon Damage
- 2x Magazine Capacity

- Laser Focus: Reduces spread; improving accuracy
- Piercer: Piercing bullets improve effectiveness against armored enemies
- More Gore: Increases the volume of gore visual effects
Comments: High-damage board with improved accuracy for longer-ranged engagements. Can have armor-piercing rounds but comes at the cost of -10% all round.
Omni Board – Tier 3.2
Location: Police Station. Salvaged from the remains of the malfunctioning ED-209
Chipset:
- 2x Weapon Damage
- 1x Magazine Capacity
- 2x Weapon Spread
- 3x Reload Speed
- 1x Armor Piercing
- Piercer: Piercing bullets improve effectiveness against armored enemies

Comments: Upgraded version of the tutorial board. Full auto is the key feature along with armor-piercing rounds. Solid Omni board.
Omni Board – Tier 4.3
Location: On the kitchen counter of apartment 12 during the investigation portion of the Domestic Terrorist sub-quest.
Chipset:
- 4x Weapon Damage
- 2x Magazine Capacity
- 1x Weapon Spread
- 3x Reload Speed
- 1x Armor Piercing
- -40% penalty (full board access)
- More Gore: Increases the volume of gore visual effects
- Massive Damage: Increases damage dealt; no critical hits
- Laser Focus: Reduces spread; improving accuracy
- Full Auto Mode: Continuously fires rounds when the trigger is pulled
Comments: Specialist board. Too detrimental to go for full board access. Better to choose either Massive Damage or Laser Focus. The -40% will make the Auto-9 unwieldy.
Omni Board – Tier 4.1
Location: Police Station. High-tech case beside the Evaluation chair. Optional objective for “Back to Square One” quest.
Chipset:
- 4x Weapon Damage
- 2x Magazine Capacity
- 1x Weapon Spread
- 2x Reload Speed
- 1x Armor Piercing
- Single Shot Mode: Fires one round at a time; deals heavy damage
- Pellet Rounds: Some rounds may split dealing more damage at a short range
- More Gore: Increases the volume of gore visual effects
Comments: Improved hand cannon Omniboard. Better in every way compared to the previous board.
Omni Board – Tier 5.2
Location: OCP Correctional Facility. Cellblock B. Second floor checkpoint into the guardpost.
Chipset:
- 2x Weapon Damage
- 4x Magazine Capacity
- 1x Weapon Spread
- 2x Reload Speed
- 2x Armor Piercing
- More Gore: Increases the volume of gore visual effects
- Single Shot Mode: Fires one round at a time; deals heavy damage
- Doom Doom Rounds: Some rounds may explode dealing more damage
- Pellet Rounds: Some rounds may split dealing more damage at a short range
Comments: Single shot board that introduces the Doom Doom Rounds. Explosions are a novelty. Inconsistent at best. High magazine capacity is the main draw here plus the higher than average armor-piercing potential.
Omni Board – Tier 5.3
Location: Found in the secret room at the end of the “Who Killed Simon Page” sub-quest.
Chipset:
- 3x Weapon Damage
- 3x Magazine Capacity
- 2x Weapon Spread
- 2x Reload Speed
- 2x Armor Piercing
- -30% penalty (full board access)
- Laser Focus: Reduces spread, improving accuracy
- Auto Feeder: Automatic ammo feeder, no need to reload
- Full Auto Mode: Continuously fires rounds when the trigger is pulled
- More Gore: Increases the volume of gore visual effects
Comments: Upgraded specialist board. Since Auto Feeder is present, no need to invest in reload speed stat. Has the potential to be a good all-rounder even at longer ranges if you forgo More Gore and Full Auto Mode.
Omni Board – Tier 5.1
Location: Found at the end of the long table inside the OCP Conference Room. OCP Headquarters as you are about to arrest the Old Man.
Chipset:
- 5x Weapon Damage
- 1x Magazine Capacity
- 3x Weapon Spread
- 3x Reload Speed
- Doom Doom Rounds: Some rounds may explode dealing more damage
- More Gore: Increases the volume of gore visual effects
- Auto Feeder: Automatic ammo feeder, no need to reload
- Piercer: Piercing bullets improve effectiveness against armored enemies
Comments: The best board in terms of raw damage. The only downside is that it is ineffective against armored enemies save for the Piercer chip. Secretly very strong against the final boss when shooting its weakspot. (Might require high Combat Skill.)
And that’s all got for this PCB board guide for RoboCop Rogue City. The Auto-9 upgrades are an interesting addition to the game. It’s one of the reasons why the gameplay is deeper than you might expect from a RoboCop game, as noted in my review.
