You can only get Matador 64 by participating in The Grasp of Avarice dungeon in Destiny 2. After completing the dungeon, there’s a chance you’ll get the legendary shotgun as random loot.
Since you can only get the Matador 64 in Destiny 2 as random loot, you may have repeat The Grasp of Avarice dungeon more than once. And like other legendary weapons, the Matador 64 will also drop with random perks. So if you don’t get the perks you’re looking for, you can try The Grasp of Avarice again until you have a better version of the weapon.

- Barrel Shroud: Increases stability and handling speed.
- Corkscrew Rifling: Slightly increases range, stability, and handling speed.
- Small Bore: Increases range and stability.
- Smooth Bore: Increases range in exchange for more spread.
- Full Choke: Reduces spread when aiming down sights in exchange for losing some precision damage.
- Rifled Barrel: Increases range but greatly reduces handling speed.
Column Two
- Assault Mag: Increase the rate of fire and greatly increases weapon stability.
- Appended Mag: Increased magazine size.
- Accurized Rounds: Increases range.
- Extended Mag: Greatly increases magazine size but greatly decreases reload speed. Weapon is also more airborne effective.
- Light Mag: Increases reload speed and slightly increases range.
- Steady Rounds: Greatly increases stability but slightly decreases range. Weapon is also more airborne effective.
- Tactical Mag: Increases the reload speed and slightly increases magazine size and stability.
Column Three
- Full Auto Trigger System: Turns the weapon into full automatic.
- Lead From Gold: Picking up Heavy ammo also grants Special ammo.
- Perpetual Motion: Receive an increase in handling, stability, and reload speed while on the move.
- Pulse Monitor: Grants an increase in handling and automatically reloads the weapon when below 110 HP. Effect can be granted even when weapon is stowed.
- Threat Detector: Grants an increase in handling, reload, and stability when enemies are nearby.
- Tunnel Vision: Reloading your weapon after a target is defeated greatly increases the target acquisition and reload speed for a moment.
Column Four
- Harmony: Final Blows inflicted by other weapons will increase this weapon’s damage and performance for a moment.
- Golden Tricorn: Final Blows inflicted by this weapon grants an increase in weapon damage for a moment. Melee and grenades of the damage same type also receive greater damage and duration.
- Killing Wind: Final Blows inflicted by this weapon grants an increase in mobility, handling, and weapon range for a moment.
- One-Two Punch: When this weapon hits an enemy with every pellet in its shot, melee damage is increased for a moment.
- Opening Shot: The opening shot of this weapon has increased accuracy and range.
- Swashbuckler: Final Blows and melee kills with this weapon grants increased damage.
The Matador 64 in Destiny 2 is already a decent shotgun, but it can become quite deadly with the right set of perks. Both Threat Detector and Perpetual Motion are great choices for dealing damage. Pair either with Opening Shot to really maximize your damage early on into an encounter.
