What Are The Most Powerful Staffs in Elden Ring and Where to Find Them?
Down below are the best staffs in Elden Ring, their stats, and where to find them:
Staff of the Guilty
The Staff of the Guilty is a unique staff in that it doesn’t scale with Intelligence—it scales with your Faith and Strength stat. This makes it a good staff for people who chose to be Confessors as their Starting Class in Elden Ring.
How to Get Staff of the Guilty
You can loot the Staff of the Guilty as an uncommon drop from the red-robed, skeletal cultists residing in Fort Laiedd.
The Staff of the Guilty is an uncommon drop. If you have some investment in the Arcane stat, you should get it sooner.

How to Get Digger’s Staff
You can get the Digger’s Staff by looting it from the Sorcerer Miner Enemy in the Sellia Crystal Tunnel.
You can immediately get teleported to this area by opening a trapped chest from the Dragon-Burnt Ruins which you can find by heading east out of the starting position in Elden Ring. Though note that you cannot fast travel out of the area until you’ve snuck you way out entirely.

Meteorite Staff
The Meteorite Staff is a godsend for two particular reasons—it can be found early in the game and it is one of the best staffs in Elden Ring. It scales with your Intelligence stat meaning that you can hold on to it for a long period of time in the game until you find a staff with more potency. Its biggest caveat is that you can’t level up its basic stats. Despite this, the Meteorite Staff is one of the best starting staffs in the game.
The Meteorite Staff specializes in boosting gravity-based magic. Spells such as Meteorite, Gravity Well, and Rock Sling will have increased potency.
Where to Find Meteorite Staff
The Meteorite Staff can be looted from a corpse hanging off of a ledge found in the western side of the Swamp of Aeonia. This is just south of the Streets of Sage Ruins.
Be careful as the Swamp of Aeonia is infected with scarlet rot. You’ll have to ride your horse, Torrent, to be able to traverse the swamp with no ill effects.
The Aeonia Swamp has multiple entry points but the fastest way to find it is by heading right after you’ve exited the starting area of Elden Ring. You’ll find the Dragon-Burnt Ruins in the marsh populated by Frenzied Villagers and their dogs. Head underground past some large rats and open the door. You’ll find a chest inside which will transport you to the Swamp of Aeonia. Be careful as you’ll be trapped there until you find an exit. Thankfully you can bypass most enemies.

Azur’s Glintstone Staff
The Azur’s Glintstone Staff is one of the most powerful staffs in the game capable of taking you all the way to the end of Elden Ring without issues. However this staff is also carries a high requirement.
The Azur’s Glintstone Staff will reduce the casting time of your spells but at the cost of additional FP.
Where to Find Azur’s Glintstone Staff
You can find the Azur’s Glintstone Staff inside the Church of Cuckoo in the Raya Lucaria Academy located in the Liurnia of the Lakes. You’ll have to make your way to the rooftops of the Church of Cuckoo where you’ll need to drop down to the second floor. There are several patrols in the area and you’ll have to find a hallway with a soldier guarding it. Once you’ve defeated this soldier the Azur’s Glintstone Staff can be looted at the end in front of the sphere of faces.
It can be difficult to reach the Azur’s Glintstone Staff as the Raya Lucaria Academy is guarded by fierce soldiers and angry wizards. If you’ve never been inside the academy before, we advise that you exit left from the debate room after you’ve fought the Red Wolf of Radagon boss. You’ll eventually gain access to the rooftops which you’ll have to platform to reach the church.
Be careful when fighting the soldiers inside. The soldier guarding the hallways where the staff is has a nasty repeating fire-enchanted crossbow.

Lusat’s Glintstone Staff
Lusat’s Glintstone Staff works in conjunction with the Azur’s Glintstone Staff except instead of reducing casting time the spell potency is increased. This staff also requires a high INT stat to wield effectively.
It is going to be a struggle to get Lusat’s Glintstone staff for yourself as you’ll have to fight two powerful bosses at the same time. Its high INT requirement also means you won’t be able to wield it effectively without seriously investing in your Intelligence.
Where to Find Lusat’s Glintstone Staff
Here are the steps to find Lusat’s Glintstone Staff:
- Head over to Sellia, Town of Sorcery in eastern Caelid.
- You’ll have to start Millicent’s quest in Elden Ring first which you can do by talking to the NPC at the south of town.
- Gowry will send you to light the fire from the top of the towers which will unlock the seal barriers allowing you to fight the two bosses.

Carian Regal Scepter
The Carian Regal Scepter is debatably the best staff in the game. It has one of the highest INT requirements to wield making it a suitable weapon for late-game Elden Ring. This staff boosts the potency of sorceries like Rennala’s Full Moon and Ranni’s Dark Moon.
The Carian Regal Scepter is a unique staff as it is the only late-game staff that offers a special skill. The staff itself offers excellent stats with no real caveats. However you’ll need to have progresses far into Elden Ring to acquire the Carian Regal Scepter.
Where to Find the Carian Regal Scepter
You can get the Carian Regal Scepter by purchasing it from Enia at the Roundtable Hold for the cost of Remembrance of the Full Moon’s Queen. You can only get this item after defeating Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon at the end of Raya Lucaria Academy.
Defeating Rennala is not an easy task as she is one of the powerful demigods in Elden Ring. However once you’ve beaten her, you can acquire the Carian Regal Scepter by going back to the Roundtable and giving the Remembrance of the Full Moon’s Queen to Enia.

How to Upgrade Unique Staffs
You need Somber Smithing Stones to upgrade unique staffs. You can find these by generally exploring the map but the smithing master Iji will sell you a good variety of Somber Smithing Stones for a price. You can find him in the northern slopes in the west of Liurnia of the Lakes.
You’re going to need Somber Smithing Stones to upgrade the staffs above with the exception of the Meteorite Staff which cannot be upgraded.
