What are Ominous Stakes in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
Ominous Stakes in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are essential keys to the different colored shrines located in the game. There are four types of Ominous Stakes that can be found in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. They are Purple Stakes, Green Stakes, Yellow Stakes and Blue Stakes.
After collecting all of the ominous stakes of a certain color, you’re able to open the shrine which gives you the chance to battle and capture a legendary Pokémon hidden within. There are 8 stakes each per color.
Purple Stake Locations

Here are all the purple stake locations in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet:
Purple Stake #1
A purple stake can be found on top of a hill north of the Los Platos (East) fast travel point.
Purple Stake #2
A purple stake can be found southeast of Mesagoza. You can use the Mesagoza (South) fast travel point and head northeast along the river.
Purple Stake #3
A purple stake can be found on the far east of Mesagoza directly west of the South Province (Area Three) fast travel point.
Purple Stake #4
A purple stake can be found south of Lost Platos on top of a hill where you’ll find a small spring forming a waterfall.
Purple Stake #5
A purple stake can be found on the far northeast of the South Province (Area Three) fast travel point where you have to travel until you reach the end of the canyon.
Purple Stake #6
A purple stake can be found west of the South Province (Area Five) fast travel point. This is actually very close to where the purple shrine is.
Purple Stake #7
A purple stake can be found at the top of the hill southwest of Artazon. Just use the Artazon (West) fast travel point and then head south.
Purple Stake #8
A purple stake can be found northeast of the Los Platos (East) fast travel point at the top of the hill.
Green Stake Locations

Admittedly, the green stakes look a little yellowish in color. However, the game does consider them to be green so don’t get confused. Here are the green stake locations in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet:
Green Stake #1
A green stake can be found east of Porto Marinada underneath the cavern formation on top of one of the pillars in the West Province Area Two.
Green Stake #2
A green stake can be found north above the cave formation where you can find the first green stake near the river.
Green Stake #3
A green stake can be found north of the Porto Marinada fast travel point. You’ll have to continue north until you reach the shore.
Green Stake #4
A green stake can be found on the middle of the Casseroya Lake on the smaller island near the center.
Green Stake #5
A green stake can be found on the east side of the largest island in Casseroya Lake. You can use the Casseroya Lake (Islet) fast travel point to get there immediately.
Green Stake #6
A green stake can be found near the waterfalls of Glaseado Mountain which leads to the river.
Green Stake #7
A green stake can be found on the westernmost tip of the ice region of the Glaseado Mountain.
Green Stake #8
A green stake can be found at the northwestern cape of the Casseroya Lake.
Yellow Stake Locations

A yellow stake can be found northeast of Alfornada on top of the cliffside that overlooks Cortondo.
Yellow Stake #2
A yellow stake can be found southeast of the West Province (Area One) – Central fast travel point. It can be found on top of the cliffs that is west of Cortondo.
Yellow Stake #3
A yellow stake can be found west of the West Province (Area One) – Central fast travel point. It can be found at the bottom of a hole near the windmill towers.
Yellow Stake #4
A yellow stake can be found northeast of the Pokémon League fast travel point. It’s at the base of a cliff to the west of the Great Crater.
Yellow Stake #5
A yellow stake can be found east of the West Province (Area One) – North fast travel point. It can be found on a hill that overlooks a Star Base.
Yellow Stake #6
A yellow stake can be found at the back of a tree behind the Cascaraffa Gym.
Yellow Stake #7
A yellow stake can be found by the river east of Alfornada.

A yellow stake can be found inside a cave hidden at the shores north of Alfornada.

A blue stake can be found on the patch of greenery north of the Glaseado Mountain.
Blue Stake #2
A blue stake can be found on a peak in the middle of North Province (Area One).

A blue stake can be found southwest of the North Province (Area One) fast travel point. You can find it northeast of the Tagtree Thicket.
Blue Stake #4
A blue stake can be found northeast of the Dalizapa Passage fast travel point. It is north of a Star Base of Tagtree Thicket.
