The Curse Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley will be available to players once they’ve opened the pathway to Glade of Trust, Dazzle Beach, and Forest of Valor.

You’ll be able to meet Mother Gothel in the Glade of Trust, she’ll then offer you a quest to assist her undo the Dark Magic unleashed on the whole Valley. Additionally, you need to become friends with specific characters, such as Merlin, Ursula, and Kristoff, in order to trigger this quest.

As such, here’s a rundown on how to easily complete “The Curse” in Disney Dreamlight Valley, so read on.

The Curse Quest Walkthrough

Talk to Merlin about the cursed tree located next to the wishing well in the Glade of Trust. Once you get close to the huge tree, the shadows will break apart and scatter to other parts of the valley, revealing the cabin hidden within.

Talk to Mother Gothel inside the cabin. She will then tell you that the darkness will be dispelled once the Orb of Trust is returned to its pillar.

Go back outside with Mother Gothel as she leads you to the Orb, which is located on the other side of a collapsed bridge, and says that Merlin is your best option to recover it.

Now go find Merlin, who is currently talking to Ursula. In our case, they’re in Dazzle Beach.

Note: There might be a glitch for some players whereas Ursula will not spawn and talk to Merlin. To fix this, simply relocate the house further into the ocean to give Ursula proper space.

Talk to Merlin about how you’ll need Ursula’s assistance with the spell. Then if you talk to Ursula, she’ll tell you that this spell won’t work until Kristoff gives up his feelings for Anna and his recollections of the village.

Upon finishing the conversations, you’ll be tasked to collect 5 Night Shards and 5 Dream Shards, but you should already have it on you by now.

If not, you can get Night Shards by digging glittering mounds in the ground with your Shovel, which can be found all over the Valley. As for Dream Shards, the best way to get them is by clearing Night Thorns. These are purple weeds that will respawn daily, everywhere around the village

Now, all that’s left is to convince Kristoff to help you with the spell. Simply go and speak with him and finish the conversation, he’ll eventually agree to help you.

Now, return to the cave where you first encountered Ursula and hand over the Shards to her. See the images below for reference.

After the conversation and a short cutscene, you’ll eventually turn into a spirit.

Return to the area around the Pillar of Glade of Trust, cross the broken bridge, and pick up the Orb of Trust. Transfer the Orb back to the pillar to dispel the shadows scattered around the valley.

After that, your original body will return to you. Find and talk to Mother Gothel one last time to complete the quest (She will then tell you that you were the valley’s former Ruler long ago).
