The Ghostly Curse in Sea of Thieves is a cosmetic that turns your pirate into a ghost with glowing eyes. While you won’t actually be one with the dead, it will give you a look as if you’re one. So if you want to haunt the open waters and scare other players with your presence, this can be a pretty enticing Curse to get. This guide will teach you how to get the Ghostly Curse in Sea of Thieves.

How to Get the Ghostly Curse in Sea of Thieves?

You have to be Allegiance Level 100 with The Guardians of Fortune Faction to get the Ghostly Curse in Sea of Thieves. After reaching that Allegiance Level, go to the Pirate Legends Faction Hideout and then take part in the Blessing of Athena’s Fortune ceremony where you’ll be granted the Ghostly Curse after a short cutscene.

In order to be able to get to the Pirate Legends Faction Hideout, you must have earned the Pirate Legend title. This means that you need to be at least Level 50 with all three trading companies and have bought the corresponding Level 50 promotions in Sea of Thieves. Once you’ve done so, you’ll unlock access to the Pirate Legends Faction Hideout which gives you access to its exclusive range of cosmetic options on sale.

If you need help getting to Allegiance Level 100 with the Guardians of Fortune, one way is by using the new On-Demand PVP feature introduced in Season 8. Our Sea of Thieves Season 8 On-Demand PVP Guide will teach you how this works.

The Ghostly Curse in Sea of Thieves gives your character the look of a pale green ghost with glowing eyes to match. It makes you look like a specter in the middle of a vast ocean blue. A ghostly looks strikes out when you’re in the land of the living.

You don’t need to worry about any deadlines when trying to earn the Ghostly Curse because the cosmetic is not time-limited. As long as you reach Allegiance Level 100 with the Guardians of Fortune and have the Pirate Legend title, you’ll be able to earn it. The Guardians of Fortune crew also give you a catchy song to commemorate the event of you receiving the Ghostly Curse in Sea of Thieves.
