The Callisto Protocol: Try to Help the Trapped Worker

The trapped worker is calling for your help in The Callisto Protocol in Chapter 5. The unfortunate fellow has been locked behind a door and needs your assistance in finding something to pry the door open. However, Is it possible to help the trapped worker escape?

Can you Help the Trapped Worker in The Callisto Protocol?

You cannot help the trapped worker in The Callisto Protocol. Sadly, his death is scripted and there’s no way to make it in time before he’s killed by one of the infected.

After the trapped worker asks for your help, you will be attacked by a horde of infected. You have to fend them off, and as you’re fighting you hear him get attacked behind the room he’s locked in. There’s unfortunately no way to clear the area in time of enemies to save his life. He will be killed by a monster who opens the door after you’ve eliminated the enemies in the area.

Even though the trapped worker will die no matter what you do, you can at least know his name. If you turn on the subtitles as he’s speaking, you’ll learn that the trapped worker’s name is Wayne. The OFC before his name may stand for “Officer” which may mean that he’s a correctional penology officer in the Black Iron Prison. This would check out as he has access to the Snowcat garage.

However if you go over his body, you’ll be able to pick up an Implant Bio which calls him Richard Cids instead. It may be an implant he uses to gain access which used to belong to someone else in the facility.

We hope this answers your question of what happens if you try to help the trapped worker in The Callisto Protocol. While you’re unable to help him, you can at least get something out of it. For more on The Callisto Protocol, check out our related content you may be interested in:
