Upgrading one’s stats and skills is important when journeying through the world of Valkyrie Elysium, and playing as Maria requires you to use the Skill Tree to unlock new abilities and have their stats increased. What are Skill Trees in Valkyrie Elysium?

Skill Trees in Valkyrie Elysium is a feature where players must use their collected gems to spend for unlockable and improved stats. Unlocking them will help players progress well in the story and make Maria more capable as a proud Valkyrie.

The Skill Tree is classified into 3 branches and each of these branches can unlock skills and stats that improve the performance of players.

Chain Attack

Perform a special attack after hitting the soul chain on the enemy

Soul Burst

You will be able to absorb the surrounding soul by long press. Soul burst 1 is performed by releasing the △ button while absorbing the soul.

Soul Burst

After the enemy hits soul burst, it drops more souls. The less HP of the enemy, the more souls will drop.

Quick Evade

Evading just before an enemy attack hits you will negate the attack and will trigger slow-motion

Damage Dampener 1

Physical Damage Reduction Rate +2%, Magic Damage Reduction Rate +2% and reduces the physical and magical damage inflicted on Valkyrie.
Cost: 30 Yellow Souls, 200 Magic Gems, 200 Violet Gems, and 40 Emerald Gems

Precision Guard

Guarding an enemy attack immediately before it hits triggers slow-motion, and pressing △ button initiates a special attack.
Cost: 30 Yellow Souls, 200 Magic Gems, 200 Violet Gems, and 40 Emerald Gems

Damage Dampener 2

Physical Damage Reduction Rate +2%, Magic Damage Reduction Rate +2% and reduces the physical and magical damage inflicted on Valkyrie.
Cost: 50 Yellow Souls, 400 Magic Gems, 400 Violet Gems, and 50 Emerald Gems

Reversal

Pressing □ button immediately after guarding an enemy attack initiates a quick slash counter.
Cost: 50 Yellow Souls, 500 Magic Gems, 500 Violet Gems, and 50 Emerald Gems

Damage Dampener 3

Physical Damage Reduction Rate +3%, Magic Damage Reduction Rate +3% and reduces the physical and magical damage inflicted on Valkyrie.

Parry

A slow effect is generated by timing the block against an enemy attack, and a large amount of soul is also dropped. It can also bounce off enemies.

Damage Dampener 4

Physical Damage Reduction Rate +3%, Magic Damage Reduction Rate +3% and reduces the physical and magical damage inflicted on Valkyrie.

Technical Action Success Extension 1

Technical action success grace time extends.

Einherjar Summon (Evade)

Summon Einherjar automatically when evading during battle.
Cost: Unlock Skill Level F of Belverg.

Counter

Pressing □ button immediately in time with the enemy’s attacks will unleash a special attack.
Cost: 80 Yellow Souls, 500 Magic Gems, 500 Violet Gems, and 50 Emerald Gems

Damage Dampener 5

Physical Damage Reduction Rate +4%, Magic Damage Reduction Rate +4% and reduces the physical and magical damage inflicted on Valkyrie.
Cost: 100 Yellow Souls, 800 Magic Gems, 800 Violet Gems, and 100 Scarlet Gems

Einherjar Summon (Block)

Summon Einherjar automatically when blocking during battle.
Cost: Cost: Unlock Skill Level F of Belverg.

Double Jump

Press the x button while jumping to perform a Double Jump.
Cost: 50 Magic Gems and 50 Violet Gems

Health Fortify

Increase HP and Increase the health gauge’s max value
Cost: 10 Yellow Souls, 100 Magic Gems, 100 Violet Gems, and 30 Emerald Gems

Double Evade

Press the ◌ button while evading to perform a Double Evade.
Cost: 30 Yellow Souls, 200 Magic Gems, 200 Violet Gems, and 40 Emerald Gems

Finisher Level

Pressing the □ button near some smaller enemies with less than 10% of their max health initiates a special attack. If Finisher is set to “Manual” via Options in the menu, it can be initiated by pressing the △ button.
Cost: 50 Yellow Souls, 400 Magic Gems, 400 Violet Gems, and 50 Emerald Gems

Divine Arts Gauge Max

Increase the maximum value of the Divine Arts gauge.
Cost: 60 Yellow Souls, 500 Magic Gems, 500 Violet Gems, and 50 Blue Flame Gems

Unlockable Skill Trophies and Achievement

Players who have unlocked all the skills in the Skill Tree will receive the Commanding Master silver trophy.

Valkyrie Elysium is out on PS4 and PS5. The PC via Steam gets the game on November 11, 2022. The demo is currently out for US, UK, Southeast Asia, and Japan accounts.
