Vampire The Masquerade Swansong – Removing the Red Salon Guard

In Scene 07, Leysha is tasked by the Prince to help with the evacuation and destruction of evidence in the Red Salon before the Second Inquisition raids the place. When the SI arrives, there is a guard that is sort of in the way of Leysha’s mission. She has to deal with this stealthily, or else she will be compromised.

In this guide, we will be talking about how to remove the guard from his post in the Red Salon.

How to remove the Guard from the Red Salon

Removing the guard from his post at the Red Salon requires an indirect tactic since Leysha could not confront him directly to avoid compromising her presence to the enemies. For this, you will have to get crafty and use the power of steam to your advantage.

Also, use Leysha’s power to obfuscate and dress up as one of the enemies to easily slip in and out of the places that you need to go. Sadly, this wouldn’t work on the guard as he’s bound to scan the implant of everyone that passes through and Leysha does not have one.

Get the valve wheel from the Janitor’s Room

The Janitor’s room is a safe zone in the basement of the Red Salon. There is a shelf at the back of the room where a valve wheel is at. Take it as you will need it for a pipe later on.

The valve wheel at the janitor’s room.

Go to the Refrigeration Chamber and open the valve

Head towards the refrigeration room where the Trajax vials are stored. Then, move the cabinets to the right until you find the pipe with a valve on the corner. Open this valve.

Move the refrigeration cabinets to reveal the valve.

Go to the room before the torture chamber and open the valve

Use the valve wheel on the pipe beside the huge cabinet to open the valve.

Attach the valve wheel to the pipe.

Go to the boiler room and solve the pressure puzzle

Inside the boiler room, you will find three pipes that meet at a pressure gauge. Each of these pipes have valves on them. The goal is to open up all pipes so that they all over-pressurize at the same time. However, there is a catch: turning the valves will cause the other pipes pressurize in different amounts, and they can also lose pressure eventually.

    Pressure puzzle.

To solve the pressure puzzle and get rid of the guard, the valves should be turned in the right order. Here’s the solution:

    1. Turn the center valve to the right
    2. Turn the left valve to the right
    3. Turn the right valve to the right
    4. Turn the center valve to the right

Go outside the boiler room and press the emergency drain button

Press the button for the emergency drain to release the pressure on the guard. Piping hot steam will be blasted on the guard, enough to bring him down to the ground. Leysha can just then saunter off towards escape.

    He never saw it coming.
