The Legendary Curse in Sea of Thieves is a cosmetic that gives your eyes and Legendary Mark a supernatural ethereal glow. Considering this is one of the oldest curses that exist in the game since Season 1, it is one of the best ways to show that you’re a veteran pirate. This guide shows you how to get the Legendary Curse in Sea of Thieves.

How to get the Legendary Curse in Sea of Thieves?

You need to reach Allegiance Level 105 with The Guardians of Fortune Faction to get the Legendary Curse in Sea of Thieves. After reaching that Allegiance Level, you an then purchase it for free at the shop in Athena’s Fortune Hideout.

To gain access to Athena’s Fortune Hideout you must have the Pirate Legend title. This means that you need to be at least Level 50 with all three trading companies and have bought the corresponding Level 50 promotions in Sea of Thieves. Once you’ve done so, you’ll unlock access to Athena’s Fortune Hideout which gives you access to its exclusive range of cosmetic options on sale.

If you need help getting to Allegiance Level 105 with the Guardians of Fortune, one way is by using the new On-Demand PVP feature introduced in Season 8. Our Sea of Thieves Season 8 On-Demand PVP Guide will teach you how this works.

The Legendary Curse in Sea of Thieves is one of the earliest of the Curses cosmetic. Unlike other Curses, it’s relatively simple that gives your pirate glowing eyes and a mark on the chest that also glows. It’s more noticeable at night time or in low light areas.

Originally, you needed to reach Renown Level 100 in Season 1 and have the Pirate Legend title in order to get the Legendary Curse in Sea of Thieves. After fulfilling both requirements, you’ll be granted the Legendary Curse cosmetic as a reward.

Since the Legendary Curse is a reward from Season 1, it was time-limited until the arrival of Season 8 where players finally got the chance to earn it for themselves. This means that those who missed out on collecting this Curse cosmetic now have the opportunity to grab it.
