Shrimps in Disney Dreamlight Valley is a cooking ingredient you’ll want to stock up during your playthrough. Players aren’t obligated to make everything in the Recipes list, but at some point they’ll come across a quest that calls for a specific dish that requires Shrimps. If you’re wondering how to get it, here’s what you need to do.
Where to Find Shrimps in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Shrimps in Disney Dreamlight Valley can only be obtained by unlocking the pathway to Dazzle Beach, the area connected to Peaceful Meadow, Glade of Trust and Forest of Valor. It will cost you a few thousand Deamlights, though, to clear the path blocked with Night Thorns and into Dazzle Beach.
Once you’ve entered Dazzle Beach, you can start looking for Blue Fishing Nodes (bubbling circles) in the ocean. Even though they only appear randomly, these blue nodes are the most rewarding and are the only ones that can reward you Shrimps.
If you’re having trouble locating blue circles, you may always fish the standard white or orange nodes while you wait for new spawn locations to open up. While farming Shrimps, be sure to bring along a friend who can fill the fishing role. While they won’t improve your odds of getting a shrimp, they might throw in an extra grab if you catch one.
What are Shrimps used for in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Once you’ve gotten a bunch of Shrimps, you have the option of either cooking it to make Bouillabaisse, which is needed to complete Goofy’s “Dinner for a Friend” Quest, or selling it for 300 Star Coins (might as well eat it raw for 750 energy).
There are other cooking recipes that require shrimp as well, specifically Gumbo and Lancetfish Paella. You might want to check out our Full Recipes List for complete details.
