The Skeleton Curse in Sea of Thieves is a cosmetic that makes your pirate look like one of the undead by removing the skin from their bones. Of course, it’s not literally going to turn your pirate into one of the undead but it does give you the aesthetic of a vengeful skeleton that just dig itself from the grave. This guide will teach you how to get the Skeleton Curse in Sea of Thieves.

How to Get Skeleton Curse in Sea of Thieves?

You need to be at Reputation Level 75 with the Reaper’s Bones and Allegiance Level 100 with the Servants of the Flame to get the Skeleton Curse in Sea of Thieves. After having the requirements, go to The Reaper’s Hideout and participate in the Ritual of the Flame ceremony.

Unlike other Curses, you will not need to get the Pirate Legend title in order to get the Skeleton Curse. However you will have to reach high Reputation levels with the Reaper’s Bones and Allegiance levels with the Servants of the Flame. Once you’ve fulfilled the above, head over to The Reaper’s Hideout in their lowest chamber with the big tree. You’ll have to interact with the prompt to start the ritual where you drink from Flameheart’s cursed chalice which will give you the Skeleton Curse.

Once you receive the Skeleton Curse, you’ll be able to equip and unequip it as you please in your Vanity Chest. There is no time limit for when you’ll be able to get it so there’s no need to be in a hurry to grind for it.

With the new On-Demand PVP being the way to earn some Allegiance to the Servants of the Flame, you can take a look at our Sea of Thieves Season 8 On-Demand PVP Guide which will help you understand the feature. Once you learn that, it’s a matter of grinding for the Reputation with the Reaper’s Bones and Allegiance with the Servants of the Flame to get the Skeleton Curse in Sea of Thieves.
