How to Unlock Stitch in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Stitch has been added in the roster of villagers that can be invited to live in Dreamlight Valley. The catch is that the quest itself does not show up automatically in the quest list until you find a certain item, and that the quest is time-gated which requires players to wait for real-time days in between quest objectives.

In this guide, we will be going through the steps on how to unlock Stitch in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Due to the time-gated nature of this quest, this will be a multi-part guide where additional information about the second part of the quest will be added in once it becomes available.

How to Unlock Stitch in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

To unlock Stitch, follow these steps starting from finding a Slimy Stocking:

Find the Slimy Stocking in Dazzle Beach
Find the Villager who owns the Slimy Stocking
Search Donald’s House for a clue
Look for a clue by removing the trash in Donald’s House
Pick up the Strange Device and bring it to Donald
Find the Chewed-Up Sock
Find the Villager who owns the Chewed-Up Sock
Search Goofy’s House for a clue
Look for a clue by removing the trash in Goofy’s House
Pick up the Blue Fur and bring it to Donald
Find the Knitted Orange Sock
Find out who the sock belongs to
Search Merlin’s library for a clue
Remove the trash in Merlin’s library to find a clue
Pick up the Mysterious Claw and bring it to Donald
Place the Homing Beacon on Skull Rock
Talk to the sock-stealing space alien
Talk to Donald
Place Stitch’s House in Dreamlight Valley and construct it
Find Stitch and tell him about his new home

Step 1: Find the Slimy Stocking in Dazzle Beach

You can find the Slimy Stocking somewhere on the beaches of Dazzle Beach. It can also be found on the grassy area near the Mystical Cave entrance, while some report that they have also found theirs in the Plaza. This will start The Mystery of the Stolen Socks quest line.

Step 2: Find the Villager who owns the Slimy Stocking

Based on the initials “D.D.” on the socks, you must then talk to Donald Duck to learn more about the socks. He will then confirm that the socks are his and he will ask for your help to find out who stole them from his house.

Step 3: Search Donald’s House for a clue

Next, go inside Donald’s house.

Step 4: Look for a clue by removing the trash in Donald’s House

Remove all five (5) trash heaps inside Donald’s house and you’ll eventually get the Strange Device,

Step 5: Pick up the Strange Device and bring it to Donald

Go talk to Donald about the strange device and he will tell you to go look for another clue in a couple of days.

At this point, we will have to wait for a couple of days until the next clue shows up. Wait for at least 5 real-time days from when you complete Step 5 to find the next clue for the quest line.

Although time skipping may work in getting Stitch earlier, some have reported that the datamine also shows an upcoming event, most likely for the holiday. This means, it might be possible to get soft-locked from doing the event until your PC or console’s internal clock gets re-synced with the game’s online clock. Time skip at your own discretion.

Step 6: Find the Chewed-Up Sock

After waiting for enough days, look for the Chewed-Up sock somewhere in the Peaceful Meadow. Picking it up will give you a clue as to whom it belongs to. This will start The Sock-Stealing Space Alien Strikes Again! quest.

Step 7: Find the Villager who owns the Chewed-Up Sock

Head over to Donald first and he will tell you that it’s not his sock. Head over to Goofy and talk to him about the sock. He’ll confirm that it’s his sock and he’ll ask for your help to gather clues for his other missing socks.

Step 8: Search Goofy’s House for a clue

Visit Goofy’s house to gather clues.

Step 9: Look for a clue by removing the trash in Goofy’s House

Like before, clear out five (5) heaps of trash to find the next clue.

Step 10: Pick up the Blue Fur and bring it to Donald

Go back to Donald and hand him the Blue Fur. He will use the Strange Device on it which will show that the DNA match is almost complete.

At this point, you will have to wait for another 5 real-time days before the next clue shows up. Like before, time skip at your own discretion.

Step 11: Find the Knitted Orange Sock

After waiting for enough days, look for the Knitted Orange Sock somewhere in the Forest of Valor. Picking it up will start the Built to Destroy! quest.

Step 12: Find out who the sock belongs to

For this objective, you have to talk to one of three of these Villagers:

Mickey
Kristoff
Merlin

You only need to talk to Merlin to proceed to the next objective.

Step 13: Search Merlin’s library for a clue

Head over to Merlin’s library and search for the next clue.

Step 14: Remove the trash in Merlin’s library to find a clue

Like before, clear five (5) trash heaps to find the next clue.

Step 15: Pick up the Mysterious Claw and bring it to Donald

After clearing all the trash pick up the Mysterious Claw and bring it to Donald. He uses the Strange Device on it again which completes its DNA authorization and turns it into a Homing Beacon. You then need to go to a safe place to place the Homing Beacon on.

Step 16: Place the Homing Beacon on Skull Rock

Go to Skull Rock at the southeastern part of Dazzle Beach, then go into Furniture Mode, select Donald’s special category, and select the Homing Beacon. Place the Homing Beacon at an eligible spot and then you can watch a cutscene showing a space rocket crash landing on the sand. In it comes out Stitch. But we’re not done yet.

Step 17: Talk to the sock-stealing space alien

Talk to Stitch and he will be disappointed about his broken ship. He then asks for your help to fix it.

Step 18: Talk to Donald

Go back to Donald and tell him about Stitch to confirm his suspicions on the sock-stealing alien.

Step 19: Place Stitch’s House in Dreamlight Valley and construct it

You then have to go into Furniture Mode once again and select Stitch’s special category to find his house. Place it on an eligible spot and then interact with the Scrooge sign. You’ll then need to pay 10,000 gold to fully construct the house.

Step 20: Find Stitch and tell him about his new home

Go back to Stitch and till him that he has a new house to stay in. He will then give you his Sock Stash that you can open to get five (5) Thigh-High Socks that you can use on your character. You can then talk to Stitch and start leveling up your friendship level with him.
