The Myling Phasmophobia ghost type is one of the nosiest in the game. Players need to learn to take advantage of a Myling’s strengths & weaknesses. This guide will teach you how to deal with the Myling Phasmophobia ghost.
What is a Myling in Phasmophobia?
The Myling is a ghost type in Phasmophobia that makes more paranormal sounds compared to any other ghosts. This makes them easy to identify especially to players who have a Parabolic Microphone.
Myling Phasmophobia Ghost Strengths
- Silent: Mylings are very quiet during Ghost Hunts making them difficult to keep track of.
Myling Phasmophobia Ghost Weaknesses
- Loud: Mylings produce the most paranormal sounds when they are not hunting players.
- Parabolic Microphones: Their paranormal sounds can be heard through a Parabolic Microphone.
Myling Phasmophobia Ghost Evidences
- EMF Level 5
- Fingerprints
- Ghost Writing
Despite the amount of paranormal noise the Myling Phasmophobia ghost types make, they do not respond to the Spirit Box. Players who have a Parabolic Microphone will be able to hear the noises Myling make which makes it easy to pinpoint their location.
The hard part about dealing with a Myling is when they start a Ghost Hunt. They become eerily quiet and can sneak up on unsuspecting players. The footsteps a Myling makes during a hunt can only be faintly heard within 9 meters and get louder as it gets closer. This makes it difficult for targeted players to react quick enough.
Due to their noisy nature, the Myling Phasmophobia ghost type is easy to identify. They have no real advantages over speed and are just as fast as any other ghosts making them relatively tame compared to the Revenant or Moroi.
How do you tell if it’s a Myling in Phasmophobia?
It’s best to always have a Parabolic Microphone when dealing with a Myling in Phasmophobia. They frequently make more paranormal noises that can be heard through this equipment compared to any other ghost types.
Even on Nightmare difficulty where a ghost can change their preferred room, a Parabolic Microphone will help you keep track of it. Beware when a Myling goes quiet as it could be starting a Ghost Hunt.
Myling Phasmophobia History
The Myling Phasmophobia ghost type was added during 0.3.0 update back in August 26, 2021. The Myling debuted alongside the Goryo.
The Myling ghost type actually comes from the Scandinavian folklore from unwanted children who were killed by their parents. It’s a tragic tale as Myling only want to move on into the afterlife but since they are not baptized cannot do so. Failure to put their body into holy ground can cause them to attack the ones trying to assist them.
Alternatively, Myling can find peace if they can find and kill their mothers. However they usually need some form of permission from the living to do this. Since not all are willing to kill on their behalf, they often use tricky wording and deceit to accomplish this method.
That’s all on the Myling Phasmophobia ghost type. We hope you learned a lot from this ghost. We have more Phasmophobia guides should you be interested.
