How to Start the Welch The Compounder Side Quest
To start this quest, players must first finish returning the Vineyard’s ring located at the Seaport of Rythal. Afterwards, go to Delyrk Village and talk to Welch Vineyard. She will ask players to deliver some items. Once you accept her request, the side quest will begin.
How to Complete the Welch The Compounder Side Quest
Once the side quest begins, players will need to bring 3 Roly-Poly Beans to the client. This item is easy to get at the beginning of the game and it is likely that players have already encountered it during their travels. Once they have the required materials, bring them to the client and you will be rewarded heavenly.

Once the quest is completed, players will receive the following rewards that help them in their future endeavors in Star Ocean: The Divine Force:
- 8 Fol
- Welch’s Communicator
- Unlocks Item Creation: Compounding
Among the rewards, players will unlock one of the 1st skills needed in item creation called COMPOUNDING. In this skill, players must choose 2 items from their inventory, and once they do, a more refined version of the item with better effects will be made. Deep in the game, players will come across SECRET RECIPES that will be used for COMPOUNDING that will reveal materials needed for various items.
