In this Lost Ark guide, we will look into one of the hidden story quests called Burnt with Love, a quest that will literally have you go through fire to find an item.
Lost Ark has lots of quests that will keep its players busy. Aside from the main quests, there are also quests and hidden stories that are specific to a continent and will need a bit of searching around its many different areas. Completing these hidden stories will count towards your Adventurer’s Tome which will reward you with various items.
How to Unlock the Burnt with Love Hidden Story in Lost Ark
The Burnt with Love Hidden Story quest is a standalone quest that becomes available once you reach the Rethramis Border in the Rethramis Continent. To unlock the quest, it requires you to search for a Half-melted ring in a burning ruins located somewhere in the Rethramis Border.
Lost Ark Burnt with Love Hidden Story Location
The Lost Ark Burnt with Love Hidden Story location may be found at Rethrasmis Border on the continent of Rethrasmis. You can expect it to be in the area where buildings and wagons are ablaze, west of the map.
There are two NPCs on the other side of the river with two buckets of water. When you get close enough to the flaming building behind them, the prompt will appear.
What is the Burnt with Love Hidden Story
Burnt with Love is one of the hidden story quests that you can do in the Rethramis Continent. This appears to be a quest which tells of a love story between a man and a creature that ended tragically in flames. Despite the fact that the description for this Hidden Story is quite ambiguous. According to the description, “the man cried, holding the Half-melted Ring. The relationship might look bizarre to some, but it was pure-hearted and true.” There is a fire raging on the southern end of the Rethramis Border, near the Ankumo Mountain, and it is threatening to spread. If you get there, you will see a house that has been burned down.
It is necessary for you to enter the blazing wreckage. The half-melted ring is your clue and after getting close enough to the object, you will notice a prompt to examine. If you do so, you will receive the following message: “What looks to be the remnants of a frog have been charred. The small creature’s neck has a melted ring dangling from it.”
How to Complete the Burnt with Love Hidden Story
Reach the Rethramis Border area
Progress through the main story quests until you unlock the Rethramis Border area.
Head to the burning ruins in the southwest section
From there, go to the southwest section of the map and look for the burning ruins.
Investigate the item within the flames
Go through the fire and you will eventually find a spot that you can investigate. Upon doing so, you will get the Half-melted Ring and complete the Burnt with Love Hidden Story.
The fire will not harm you so you can easily just walk on it. You can also just hover your pointer over the area until you see it turn into an Investigate pointer.
Burnt with Love Hidden Story Rewards
Aside from getting a Charisma point, completing the Burnt with Love Hidden Story does not award you anything by itself, but its completion counts towards the progress of your Adventurer’s Tome for the Rethramis Continent.

Other Hidden Stories in the Rethramis Border
While you’re in the Rethramis Border, there are two other hidden stories in the area that you can accomplish for your Adventurer’s Tome:
- The Cursed Grave Keeper
- Head to the Graveyard just west from the central Triport in the Regria Monastery and investigate the tombstones in the the Graveyard’s east section.
- A Knight in Shining Armor
- This is a chain of quests that has to be done in a specific order to complete it.
- You will have to start the quest and find the points of interest in these areas in this order: Loghill > Ankumo Mountain (x4 points of interest) > Rethramis Border
