The Lost Ark Carrot and Stick quest is one of the island side quests available for players to do in the game. This quest requires players to catch rare fishes found in the island. Completing this quest can be a bit confusing to do especially if players are not fishing in the right area. But other than that, it is a pretty straightforward quest.
In this guide, we will be showing how to complete the Carrot and Stick quest and where to find the secret fishing area in the Lost City.
How to Unlock the Carrot and Stick Quest
The Carrot and Stick quest is part of the island quest chain of the Lost City Island. To unlock it, you must first talk to Gold Scalloper Captain Velbaro in the Lost City Island and complete the Fearsome Man-eating Monster quest. The next quest after it will be the Carrot and Stick quest.
How to Complete the Carrot and Stick Quest
Talking to Injured Kir will initiate the Carrot and Stick quest and he will require you to catch three (3) White Bellies from the secret fishing spot in the island. There are a couple of fishing spots in the Lost City Island, but this particular fish can only be caught in the secret fishing spot.
Where to Find the Lost City Island
The Lost City Island can be found in the Platina Ocean at the eastern part of Arkesia. The closest port that you can sail off from is East Luterra. From there, sail towards southeast. The Lost City Island is always open for adventurers.
Where to Find the Secret Fishing Spot for the Carrot and Stick Quest in Lost Ark
You will have to be in the Lost City Island to be able to visit the secret fishing spot.
Head to the West Side of the Lost City Island
You want to go to the spot near one of the Old Treasure Chests that is northwest of the middle fishing spot.
Break the wall
Between the two smaller rectangular rooms/areas of the visible map is a wall with a square wall sculpture. Break the wall beside it by attacking it a couple of times until it crumbles.
Follow the path to the Secret Fishing Area
Simply follow the path and you will end up at a fork-shaped patch of rocks with fishing spots on each tip. You can then start fishing for white bellies in either of these spots. Make sure to check the bushes as there are two Mokoko seeds to be found in this area.
Once you have three white bellies, report back to Injured Kir to complete the quest.

Completing the Carrot and Stick quest will reward you with the following:

- x4 Uncommon Battle Engraving Recipe Selection Pouch
- 1,400 Silver
Lost City Island Quest Rewards
Completing all the Lost City Island quests will reward you with the following:
- Vitality Increase Potion
- x11 Uncommon Battle Engraving Recipe Selection Pouch
- x15 High Seas Coin Chest
- 14,000 Silver
How to Get the Lost City Island Token
The Lost City Island Token can be a chance reward by opening the chests that can be found scattered within the island. To open the chest, you will have to use the Worn Key of Oblivion which can be obtained randomly from fishing in the fishing spots in the island.
