A Complete Guide on How to Get Prized Pelt in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

Prized Pelt Guide - Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

The Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Prized Pelt is a crucial component of many of the early-game armor sets, and it can be surprisingly tough to acquire no matter where you are in the campaign.

Fortunately, this material can be obtained from two relatively manageable creatures, which will be discussed further below. As such, here’s how you can get Prized Pelt along with some few pointers on farming it.

How to Get Prized Pelt in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

You can acquire Prized Pelts during Master Rank Quests, and it can only be obtained through farming small monsters called Kelbi and Anteka.

All that’s required is to start a Master Rank expedition in Sunbreak and go after these monsters. While the Anteka has 18% probability of dropping Prized Pelts when carved, Kelbi’s likelihood is 30%.

Both of them can be found scattered throughout a few different places. The Anteka is a huge moose-like animal, whereas the Kelbi is a hybrid between a deer and an antelope. Though attacking one of these Kelbi herds will cause the remainder to disperse.

Keep in mind that these encounters must be on a Master Rank/MR quest, as anything less prevents them from dropping the material. Regardless of whether you kill them on a Lower or Higher Rank, they will never drop the Pelt.

Best Prized Pelt Farming Locations

We recommend hunting Kelbi over Anteka due to their higher drop rates. Kelbis can be found in Shrine Ruins, Flooded Forest, and Sandy Plains – seek for their spawns in the nooks and crannies of the map. Remember to start an expedition on Master Rank though.

If you check the map shown above, the best spots to find Kelbi are in the uppermost area, specifically at 11, 12, and 13. Accept an Expedition and proceed to Base Camp 10, where you can use your Wirebug to fly over to Area 13, in which you can take out the Kelbi that are lurking by the stream.

Kelbis respawn frequently here, so if you didn’t grab any Prized Pelt on your first pass, just go back and forth till you get it.

If you wanna give an extra effort and hunt for Antekas, then you can find then in Frost Islands, close to the main base camp, they’re in fields but not in the lake.
