With Exosuits giving you a different range of abilities, it’s time to make an Exoprimal tier list. Which Exosuits are the best to use against PvP and PvE in Exoprimal? How effective are certain Exosuits against different other players dinosaurs? Read on as we rank all Exosuits in this Exoprimal tier list based on how well they perform.
Due to how Exoprimal works, aggressive gameplay will usually win since it’s a race against time to perform faster than the other team. Some Exosuits are better than others with abilities that give you more to work with when fighting hordes of dinosaurs and their larger, more dangerous counterparts. Here’s the Exoprimal tier list for Exosuits from best to worst:
- S-Tier: Barrage, Nimbus
- A-Tier: Witch Doctor, Deadeye, Murasame, Skywave
- B-Tier: Zephyr, Vigilant, Krieger
- C-Tier: Roadblock
Barrage (S-Tier)
Barrage has a high area-of-effect potential and mobility that places it among the best in PvE combat. This Exosuit can cull down hordes fast with grenade launchers, setting up flame traps, and tossing grenades. Choosing Barrage is the best way to deal with hordes of Baryonyx, Raptors, Sinornithosaurus, and Suchomimus which are the most common enemies in the game and immediately get ahead of the enemy team.
Having multiple Barrage players at the start of the match is a great way to get a head start in Dino Survival. Whether it’s defending or culling dinosaurs, Barrage is just ahead of the curve in PvE. Barrage does have a weak point in that his weapons and abilities aren’t as effective when taking down fliers like the Pteranodon or taking down tougher targets like the Carnotaurus.
Nimbus (S-Tier)
Nimbus is the only Support Exosuit with decent offensive potential. She comes equipped with dual-wielded guns that can instantly switch between damage-dealing and repairing allies. What all this means is that she’s able to put up a fight without sacrificing her role as a Support unlike other Exosuits in her class.
With high mobility, Nimbus has few weaknesses. Her ability to confuse enemies with her dodge and powerful Overdrive ability makes her the best Support character to pick. You’ll notice her often used by players who have already unlocked her.
Witchdoctor (A-Tier)
Need support? Witchdoctor has your back. This Exosuit can repair you and then some. With high mobility, the Witchdoctor can get to anyone who needs help fast. When you’re fighting against Ankylosaurus, Carnotaurus, Triceratops, and the T. Rex, you’re going to need a player dedicated to healing others in overwhelming situations.
The Witchdoctor won’t really excel in combat so it’s best to just have one player dedicated to its support role. Due to its lack of offensive options, Witchdoctor isn’t going to do well when clashing with enemy player teams. While it can slow down enemies with shock bolts, where it really shines is its ability to have multiple healing options. There’s never a moment where you can’t heal a teammate because your ability is on cooldown.
Deadeye (A-Tier)
The Deadeye is the first suit you’ll wear and the most basic in terms of abilities but it’s exactly that where it finds its strength. This Exosuit can perform well on both PvP and PvE with its arsenal being good for any scenario. Deadeye has a grenade launcher that can blast hordes apart and can punch away foes that get too near for comfort.
Deadeye is easy to learn and get used to. Even though he doesn’t really specialize, he can a pivotal member of the team for mostly any match. His Overdrive which lets you unleash a torrent of bullets at foes is one of the best offensive abilities in the game.
Murasame (A-Tier)
Murasame doesn’t score high just because it looks cool. This Exosuit is the best melee fighter in the game despite being slower compared to Zephyr. Its swings encompass a wide range hitting plenty of dinosaurs all at once and its large health pool means that you don’t have to retreat as often. Murasame can go toe-to-toe with powerful dinosaurs like the Triceratops to protect their team without sacrificing offensive abilities.
While Murasame is great for PvE, you won’t see this Exosuit much in PvP combat. Because it isn’t as fast as the Zephyr, enemy players can easily move out of the way of its attacks unless it’s a close team fight.
Skywave (A-Tier)
Skywave has the most verticality among all the Exosuits being able to glide along the air which gives her a tactical view of the battlefield. Skywave is one of the most player-friendly Exosuits to use as both her offensive and healing abilities can be used without thinking too much. Her ability to debuff enemies makes her a solid pick in any team composition.
Compared to the other Support class Exosuits, Skywave can feel a bit slow. She’s still difficult to hit and her Overdrive ability freezes time on anything that’s nearby leaving a large opening for your team to attack.
Zephyr (B-Tier)
It can take some practice to master Zephyr as this Exosuit’s low armor rating paired with a purely melee fighting style often leaves it vulnerable. Its melee attacks do deal decent damage against hordes of dinosaurs but its range requires you to often put yourself in danger. Against larger dinosaurs like Triceratops, Zephyr will be effective at putting them down so long as you have a Tank to attract its attention.
Because of how aggressive Zephyr is, its a good pick if you like being up front but it’s one of the easiest Exosuits to get killed in PvP fights. Its high mobility may not be enough to compensate for its low armor.
Krieger (B-Tier)
Krieger is the Exosuit for those who want to do nothing but fire nonstop at enemies. It offers a lot of suppression power which keeps hordes away from enemies. The Krieger also has one of the best Overdrive attacks that can kill enemy players in one hit when set up properly.
The pure stopping power of Krieger makes this Exosuit a great asset against PvE hordes. The downside is that this Exosuit has low mobility and you will leave yourself unable to do much when you’re cooling down your minigun. Krieger can put down energy dome shields which are useful against hordes when on the defensive they easily break when fighting against bigger dinosaurs like the Carnotaurus and Triceratops.
Vigilant (B-Tier)
Vigilant is reliant on staying away from the front of combat and relies on its team to take the heat for them. When given the chance, Vigilant can cause a lot of damage when its positioned right which should always be behind their team. This Exosuit provides the largest single-target damage potential and its range far exceeds any other. Vigilant is best used when taking down large dinosaurs and other players.
With Vigilant, you have to make your shots count. There’s a learning curve with a high skill ceiling required to really make use of this Exosuit. It does have a few AOE attacks like freezing enemies where they stand which can also be done to enemy players.
Roadblock (C-Tier)
Roadblock purely defensive nature may make this Exosuit seem like a boon to their team, but in a game of speed like Exoprimal they only serve to slow down everyone. Roadblock has high armor and this Exosuit’s primary design is to take heavy hits. The problem is that for most of the game, you should really be more concerned with going on the offensive. The fastest team wins and Roadblock is an Exosuit that bides its time to wait for dinosaurs to make the first move.
It can be circumstantial how useful you’ll find Roadblock but when missions such as Dinosaur Cull comes, this Exosuit can feel underwhelming. Roadblock does excel in PvP where blocking damage from enemy players for the Data Key Security escort can be pivotal. In PvE combat which is most of the game, you’re better off playing as another Exosuit.
