Critters are the other inhabitants of the Dreamlight Valley and they can be found in almost every biome. Befriending these critters is possible, but only if they are fed with food that they like enough times.

All Critters and their favorite food in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Each type of critter has their own favorite food and food they they like or they would eat. The in-game info about these critters do not list them down, but their preferred food are pretty much similar to what their real life counterparts eat in their diet.
Critters will tell if it’s one of their favorite food if they appear to show stars after eating the food.
Squirrels
- Favorite food
- Peanuts – purchase from Chez Remy’s Pantry
- Cocoa Beans – found in Peaceful Meadow and Sunlit Plateau
- Other liked food
- Apples – found in Plaza and Forgotten Lands
- Blueberries – found in Dazzle Beach and Forest of Valor
Rabbits
- Favorite food
- Carrots – purchased from Goofy’s stall, harvest from farming
Raccoons
- Favorite food
- Blueberries – found in Dazzle Beach and Forest of Valor
Sunbirds
- Favorite food – Sunbirds appear to like most flowers that are similar or close to their colors. This includes flowers that are usually found in other biomes other than the Sunlit Valley.
- Emerald Sunbird – green flowers
- Golden Sunbird – yellow flowers
- Red Sunbird – red flowers
- Orchid Sunbird – orange flowers
- Turquoise Sunbird – pink flowers
Foxes
- Favorite food
- White Sturgeon – caught in Frosted Heights
- Other liked food
- Salmon – caught in Sunlit Plateau and Frosted Heights
Crocodiles
- Favorite food
- Lobsters – caught in Glade of Trust
- Other liked food
- Squid – caught in Glade of Trust and Forgotten Lands
- Herring – caught in Dazzle Beach and Glade of Trust
Ravens
Although Ravens already appear in the critter catalogue, they have yet to be added into the game. Most likely, they will be roaming within the Forgotten Lands and may prefer eating fruits, berries, or even grains.
How to turn critters into companions in Disnet Dreamlight Valley
Each critter can be turned into a companion if they are fed at least twice. Some critters may need more than two feedings. Critters can be fed once per day.
