Disney Dreamlight Valley The Unknown Flavor Quest Walkthrough

The Unknown Flavor Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley will be available to players once they’ve maxed out their friendship level with Remy to 10. This one’s pretty straightforward and will permanently unlock a new ingredient in Remy’s pantry called Slush Ice.

So while you’re at it, here’s a rundown on how to easily complete “The Unknown Flavor” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

    The Unknown Flavor Quest Walkthrough

You can start the quest by talking to Remy, and he’ll tell you about a delicious dessert he created once but has since forgotten about.

Now, go speak to Merlin and ask for help. He’ll tell you to get the recipe note from his library in his home. Once inside the house, walk directly towards 2nd bookshelf behind the chair to find a glittering spot. Interact with it and collect the note.

Next, create 3 Purified Night Shards by combining Night Shards with Dream Shards at a crafting station. 1 Purified Night Shard requires 5 Night Shards and 1 Dream Shard.

You can get Dream Shards and Night Shards by digging glittering mounds in the ground using your Shovel, which can be found on any biome. You can also get additional Dream Shards by removing Night thorns.

Once you’re done crafting, go and find WALL-E and give him the Purified Night Shards in exchange for a Purified Night Shard Powder.

Now all you need to do is to gather 15 Snowballs, which you can get by smashing the Ice rocks scattered throughout the Frosted Heights area (requires an upgraded Pickaxe). You can also find a bunch of Ice rocks in Forest of Valor, at the border connected to Frosted Heights (Elsa’s Home).

Note: You can only break ice rocks once you've unlocked the Frozen Realm and bought Elsa back to the Valley. Level her up afterwards until you complete the "Breaking the Ice" quest (for small ice rocks) and "The Singing Ice" quest (for big ice rocks).

Once you have everything you need, head over to a crafting station and make the Ice Slush. Afterwards, give the Ice Slush to Remy and permanently unlock the Slush Ice ingredient, which can be purchased at Remy’s Pantry (Chez Remy).

From here, Remy will give you the recipe for Vanilla Ice Cream. Open your Inventory and use the recipe book, then use any cooking stove to mix together one of the following:

    • Milk (Purchased at Chez Remy)
    • Slush Ice (Purchased at Chez Remy)
    • Sugarcane (Purchased at Goofy’s Stall on Dazzle Beach)
    • Vanilla (Foraged in Sunlit Plateau)
