Will Disney Dreamlight Valley be free?

Yes, according to the developers, Disney Dreamlight Valley will be free-to-play once it comes out of Early Access, which is expected to be sometime in 2023. This means, everyone who wants to play Disney Dreamlight Valley on PC and supported consoles will be able to play for free once the game is fully out.

Is it required to purchase a Founder’s Pack?

If you want to play Disney Dreamlight Valley right this instant, you will need to purchase one of the Founder’s Packs as they grant special access to the Early Access version of the game. Should you wish to wait for the game to be fully released first, then you can do so without needing to purchase a Founder’s Pack.

What’s included in the Founder’s Packs?

Aside from providing early access to the game, there a lot of exclusive cosmetic and customization items included in each pack, plus large amounts of special currency called Moonstones. Check out our Founder’s Packs guide to know more about these items.

Will there be microtransactions or paywalls?

Once the game is fully released, it will have an in-game shop that will be selling cosmetic items that can be purchased using Moonstones, which in turn can be purchased with real money. In addition, Moonstones are not used for any gameplay mechanic that will help or hinder a player’s progression, and they can be earned by players for free just by playing the game.

According to the devs, there are plans to add paid content expansions in the future.
